Look up all the TV shows that dominated the ratings back in the 60s/70s. You've probably heard of them, but it's shit for old people.

Ironically, I think ASOIAF will be most remembered if it's never finished. It'll be "ever hear of those long-ass fantasy novels about people killing and raping each other the author never finished because he was spent 20 years writing TV shows and jerking off to incest fanfic before he died of being a fat old dwarf?"

Something like this makes me truly believe does GRRM believe in anything that is beautiful? Or does living in relative comfort dull you and make you cynical to all the things around you? How does a man like Tolkien who saw the destruction of his beloved natural environment and the death of many of his friends in a pointless war like WWI write something so beautiful like Lord of the Rings?

Yeah, and LOTR, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion are all some of the greatest Christian influenced pieces of literature that wasn't preachy or indoctrinating. It's all organic and pure, for that Tolkien deserves nothing but respect.

No one knows how GoT and ASOIAF will be remembered, what is the point of having fantasies that it will be forgotten? That's what pathetic people do.

It's like saying yeah GURM and Dumb and Dumber made me feel like an idiot, they earned millions and they still do, but at least their work will be forgotten.

I mean it probably won't be so what's the point. It's the ultimate cope, illusion that you got some satisfaction from them fucking you in the ass.

Final season was a crime against humanity, but I find attempts to pretend that Game of Thrones is now forgotten to be the lame cope. Like when girls dumps you and you pretend you don't give a fuck while you cry about it every day.

The show is still popular and influential, fat fuck is still earning money with new GoT shit, Dumb and Dumber work for Netflix. They all got away with, we got fucked in the ass and it's OK to admit that.

GRRM is the single worst thing that has ever happened to the medieval fantasy genre and I will die on that hill.

The pretentious fat fuck has singlehandedly launched an entire fleet of shit for brain hacks all convinced that just cram fucking a whole bunch of nihilistic naval-gazing dialogue and cynical deconstructionism into their work automatically makes it genius and every single fan of the genre is going to be feeling the effects of that for the next half a century.

GoT sort of kinda opened my eyes to the fact that I just want to go back to the sincere optimistic cheese of the 90's and early 2000's in terms of entertainment. We've grown far too cynical for our own good. I'd rather stomach a corn-fest with its heart on its sleeve than any "de-construction" a bunch of lazy hacks shit out.
