Phil's problem is that he's crowdsourcing CPU parts; the more voices you bring in, the more noise you'll get, so of course no one can agree.

Either get a pre-built or someone tell him about PC Part Picker, it's the inbetween for clueless tards and people wanting to try it themselves.

Lighting or green screen? What happened to the green screen that was in your garage?

Edit: Simmons would fuck Phil up with the Doom Finger Lasers.

Shouldnt he just look up a site that sells prebuilts and look at them? Or he want a custom prebuilt?
Unless you're a business and going through Dell, aren't most "pre-built" somewhat custom as well? I thought you put in the parts you want and they show you the price and then check out?

Edit: A village where Tifa lived? Mother-fucker, I'm not expecting you to call it Nibelheim, but it's Cloud and Tifa's hometown... it'd be like you going back to Bridgeport... and having John Rambo raze it to the ground. It's not just some place where your cousin lives.

It's to obfuscate everything so he can demand the highest amount of money.
I can't stand these PC-talk segments. He's so fucking clueless and entitled at the same time.
It's all about the controller boycott.

This part is unwatchable. This makes him look INCREDIBLE STUPID!

fan of lovecraft you faggot:
newsflash no1: maybe its not the smartest idea to donate money to the pigroach if at the same time you cant even outright pay for a gpu.
newsflash no2: the pigroach makes 10k+ a month, he doesnt need some shitty monthly payment service to buy a gpu like your broke ass.

The term pre-built usually applies to brand PC's ala the Asus ROG line, Alienware etc.

"What is my price range? I dont have one."

Should have just said sky's the limit, it's coming out of your pocket, fellas.

He wants to spend the least amount of money while also being "future proof" so he is on the struggle train of his chat offering multiple options and his brain hurting deep inside.
Tinfoil build so far:
Intel i7/ryzen 7
Nvidia 3060
32GB of Ram

He almost spoiled the SSD section but that would be too exiting.

There are two major routes you can go through to build a PC and both have some advantages to them.

1. Build it yourself. While it is fairly easy to do, some people like Phil can and will fuck it up easily. Benefit to this is that you know the brand of every single part you bought and have a good idea that what you purchased can and should work together. Bad part is that you're SoL if anything happens to the thing and you need shit fixed. At that point you can go to a Microcenter or similar repair shop.

2. Boutique builder, which is what most people call a pre-built. Here you pretty much pick a template for the PC you want and add in any additional things you could need for it, such as a monitor, keyboard/mouse, whatever. You can also upgrade certain parts so you have a better power supply or GPU for a bit of a markup. These tend to be more foolproof than making shit yourself and you've got aftermarket support for a set amount of time, but the downside is you really don't know how well it's gonna go outside of the box.

The difference in which way to go involves two things: cost and proficiency. Back in the day a custom build would be hundreds cheaper so it was much more pertinent to build the PC yourself or have a friend build it for a nominal fee. Currently, due to GPU markup, cost is basically a non-issue and building the PC comes down to whether or not you want the confidence in a self-build or the security of a pre-built. Because Phil is a dumbass he should really just look at some of the boutique builders for something and buy whatever is marketed as their "stream-ready PC" since that contains everything he needs. I actually did this since I don't feel confident enough to build a custom rig and went with a pre-built and it runs perfectly fine, with me only needing to upgrade the RAM currently because 16gb isn't a whole lot anymore.

Isn't it cheaper anyways to buy a prebuilt anyways? I bought mine prebuilt and was vastly cheaper then buy it in parts atm.

Years ago it was the opposite. It cost a ton more to buy a prebuilt because you were paying for labor on top of the PC itself, while doing it yourself meant labor was free.

The reason it's now competitive to use a building service like Doghouse, NZXT, IBuyPower or CyberPower is because the price of parts has skyrocketed to the point where labor offset is negligible. It's way more expensive to buy a single GPU for your build than it is to have the builder use one of the many they purchased in bulk.

This stream should be used in Alqueida prisons.

Glowies take note.

"What is my price range: I don't HAVE one!"

And this fucking retard is still wondering how he fell into debt. The price range will be whatever it'll be to pay for WWE Champions and to take his whale of a wife to eat at his local pig trough. Hanging his price point in the air like this is just Phil using the computer a pretense to beg for more money.

It's hilarious how predictable and opaque this man is.

Hes just retarded in every way. I know he and a lot of people here hate reddit, but it's good for some things. If he didn't hate them so much, and I actually wanted him to get good value I'd just suggest going to /r/buildapc and buying whatever their best pick is. It's not going to be his money anyway. Go to subreddit, look at the current best build for the price, hit link, click buy. I did exactly that when graphics cards were hard to find and got a 3080 pre-built for 3k.

Just happy this whole new pc arc will 100% end in rage inducing failure after failure for him.

Edit: I can't type.
