I remember someone posted a video of Selen cosplaying Sans that showed she was on the chubby side, but the post has been deleted since then and it doesn't look like anyone archived it. Disproportionately chubby cheeks are really common in Chinese women, though, especially Cantonese-speaking south Chinese women. Here's a Douyin compilation of women showing how they hide their round cheeks with their hairstyles.

Isn't it the opposite where people are unhealthy but considered fine because America is so fat you need to be a deathfat before Americans consider you chubby? America warps perceptions, but only through making it normal to see fat people, where obese people make up 40% of the population. My country (UK) is also looking bad, I used to laugh at America having fat people at walmart on scooters, now I walk past them in the streets.

If we are talking about obesity I think most girls who aren't HoloJP will end up fat. It comes with the territory of sitting down and streaming all day, holoJP is the only branch getting regular dancing lessons that will help with weight loss. (Unless they now have online classes for the girls to work together, but management seems to give no fucks about those outside of Japan)

Actually since IRyS is in Japan and a singer, has she ever talked about dancing lessons or is she excluded for being EN?

No, look at American popular media now vs American media 40 years ago. Sure obesity is far more common but I think the thinness beauty standard has become even more strongly emphasized. Hell, the Jennifer Lawrence shit where there was a big uproar over a slightly-chubby woman playing the lead role in a major Hollywood movie is still pretty fresh.

Not to get too much into fat apologetics because obesity is bad but I think the beauty standard for women is still overwhelmingly thin (to an unhealthy degree in a lot of ways).

Lots of people play sports in high school and then go on to be landwhales. Hell, the caloric consumption necessary to play high-school sports often sets up people for bad eating habits later in life.
