I've seen these books at stores. There's an entire series and the subjects all have those huge ass heads.
They've been around almost 20 years and are biographies about important historical and pop-culture figures for children. Very ugly caricatures but the books are pretty popular with reluctant readers since they've got a lot of sports players and movie stars.
Even for clown world it's hard to believe anyone would be foolhardy enough to actually write and publish that for a mass audience of children. I'm tempted to track down a copy and read it just to know how the hell they pulled it off.
