Schaub is a good comparison but he has the excuse of being hit in the head too much.

Both Bapa and Phil got brain damage from suffering too many shots to the head, some of which leading to spectacular knockouts. The difference is that the dealer of that damage was fists in Bapa's case and gin in Phil's.

Speaking of brain damage, you'd have to have it if you're buying Phil's BS about the camera. Phil, if you're so hard up for a new DSLR, just fucking say so. We know you like buying shit that you'll never use properly/use only on rare occasions. You still haven't even unpacked that Elgato Stream Deck that a fan gifted you.

He has but a contractor quoted him 500 bucks instead when you can buy blackout blinds for 30 bucks.

He is also going on this weird greenscreen rant and calling anyone who got one or uses a standard desk a sheep by saying they all jump on a bandwagon.

Also, on his setup: his lighting is fine. Regardless of how shitty he looks, you really do not need a professional lighting setup for how he does things. Most people use the ring light to illuminate their face while keeping their backgrounds dim, but that works for a desk setup (which he doesn't have.) He just wants an excuse to get new toys.

Dust and heat are bad for electronics, but Phil is forgetting something else... animal dander. It doesn't matter how well groomed your indoor dog/cat/pet is; they do shed, and that shit gets sucked up into electronics. An air purifier would be appropriate for his office, not just due to dust, but Jasper goes in there as well.

Phil still coping hard about the SMB2 playthrough, and the fact that he save-scummed again, and someone called him out on it. That, and the fact that it was boring as shit with him being WACKY and just plain horrible at it. Not to mention that he had to rely on a Q&A segment to bump up his tips.

Better yet they make curtains that are installed with Piggies favorite method: adhesion. You peel off the backing and stick the fuckers to your window bam there you go just use some scissors and trim them to the window with and you're set.

His entire setup could be vastly improved if he just used a dark backdrop and placed some soft lights around the room / an LED strip if you want to be fancy.

Instead he chooses to stream in front of a pure white wall, surrounded by empty boxes and epic g4mer g3ar as if he's being held captive inside an amazon warehouse.

Not even 20 minutes before the green screen rant he was asking his viewers to go find out what cameras and setups other streamers are using. So he wants to copy what other streamers are doing but also every other streamer besides him are all sheep for all copying each other. I dont think this guy even realizes what he's saying half the time or remembers what he said 5 minutes ago.

Random question, did a bunch of detractor channels get wiped? Searching just "dsp" on YouTube would bring up about 99% detractor videos up until a couple days ago. Now it brings up a bunch of Hindi videos and A/V stuff that used to just be lightly sprinkled throughout the results.

@MightyBob69 Sort by "most recent uploads" and you can see what happened. The channels that survived have adapted to live restreaming or commentary. Notice how James The Lesser is still around. Somehow Snort is around still, too...but everyone else just doesn't wanna fight the strikes.

Brittany Gates provided a bit of insight on how to keep your channel up in the wake of Release the Superhounds.

In general her detractor content is good since she doesn't incessantly bitch about Phil and talks about how he fails as an entrepreneur and I recommend watching her in general.

Best thing about getting a DSLR is that having it running the way he runs all his hardware will not work out for Piggy so I hope he gets one.
