So I did extensive research for 20 minutes straight, and I don't see how Powerchat can dox someone using the Google Pay API. The most Powerchat has access to is the last four digits of your card and whether it's VISA or MasterCard. Nowhere in the documentation or the JSFiddle demo could I find a way to gain access to a person's name or billing address.

They use PayPal/Worldpay which usually sends the billing and shipping address to the vendor. We don't know for sure how Powerchat works, but people have suspected that it's a web of PayPal accounts funneling money. If that's the case, whoever runs it owns the full dox of people who foolishly didn't donate with a sock account.

I'm still considering signing up to PC to give it a try and see exactly what the end user sees. I mean, from an e-commerce perspective there has to be a pre-fetch option for this in order for you to reconcile shipping and billing addresses.

I'm just going by the Google Pay API, which is the payment method on Powerchat.

If they use google API, then the most the merchant can see would be a name and some card information. PayPal is the most problematic here, and if they don't open source it, I find it difficult to be convinced.

Ethan Ralph used PayPal information to dox his paypigs during the stream.me days. Oh no Lord Akira has a girlfriend and enjoys hiking, how could the a-logs ever recover?

Andy admittedly has the doxes of his paypigs, but the point I'm making is that Powerchat probably doesn't. I am willing to be persuaded into believing the contrary, but I just don't see it as of now.

Okay. Just signed up to PC and tested.

Google Pay is the default option. PayPal you have to enable yourself and fill in the relevant details.

Any payee information is coming from the PayPal emails. Same as Stream Elements etc. Its indirectly coming from PC.

This gives a little weight to Warski's claims (lets face it, they'd probably accept Robux if the option was there) about the PayPal emails, and probably where the "dox" information was coming from.

(unless you really go out of your way and use prepaid credit cards or something)

I always assume the receiver will have my dox when I make any payments.

I'm not making the argument that the receiver of the payment doesn't get your dox - he does. I'm just looking into what Powerchat has access to.

Lazy fucking paypig scum will just use PayPal because everything is prefilled. So Andy does get emails with paypig dox attached, very nice. Oh remember, he deletes them!
