This guy just seems like a typical artwhore/commissionwhore, which there are plenty of within the furry fandom. I mean, there are cases of commissionwhores that are so addicted to buying porn drawings that they got into major financial trouble or even became homeless.

Has this dude done anything especially dumb? I have seen people complain about him before but it's usually just like "he has a shit taste in Pokemon" etc., so I'm wondering if he's done something super stupid before.

Anyways, I'm not entirely sure this guy counts as a lolcow. I mean, is it egregious spending? Agreed. As much as I know about Nicobay (which is admittedly little) and the connecetions I've been able to draw, all signs just point to him as cannon fodder for the DeviantArt Horrors thread. On the other hand, due to the sheer volume of work he's purchased, I can see the argument as to why he'd deserve his own thread too.

I'm not familiar with artwhores/commissionwhores in the furry fandom aside from Nicobay, due to my generally not getting involved in that fandom and his pervasiveness. I apologize, as I thought he deserved his own thread because of just how much he's commissioned and of what.

However, I may have found something strange as I did some digging. And, for context, this was archived before when I'd went to archive it, but I wanted a fresh archive just to be sure. He's strangely insistent on allowing underage character art, so long as they're considered "feral" by furry community definition and/or involving pokemon and the like fucking child humans.

Also, another thing is that he's commissioned Purplekekleon (who has her own thread in the Tumblr subforum) and he may be sensitive to criticism that he gets about his situation.

I think some dude named Secret did a lot of commissionwhoring before getting into deep financial shit. His wolf thing character used to be everywhere and now its not, which is sort of an indicator they're not buying art anymore.

The best example though would be Allan Greenwald (usually just known as Allan) who infamously went homeless after spending all of his money (including donations by other queries to try to keep him afloat) on furry porn. This was a few years ago now and he's apparently paid back everyone who ever donated to him now.

I remember the great cubart exodus. There was someone way worse during that "debate" callled betawolf/Sinister Taz. He basically was all about cub art and he even advocated CP should be legal. He would have been a fine specimen for a thread here but sadly (or fortunately) he has disappeared from the internet. Just googling either of those user names will show you all you need to know. Its still pretty easy to find most of the art he commissioned too.

His profile on the front page gives the typical "English isn't my first language" bullshit excuse. If he's been commissioning art for at least ten years his English should be fantastic. Oh wow, this guys used to be absolutely fucking everywhere. I swear there was not a single community where you wouldn't see his "OC" at some point or another. Especially in the early days of the FA community where there were a handful of furry or Pokemon "OCs" you'd see every 5 minutes from a different artist. I didn't think he was even active anymore or had moved on to a different "OC" to burn money on.

Any artists worth their weight in salt won't take a commission from someone who cannot appropriate articulate their needs. Otherwise by taking the commission you run the risk of misinterpreting what the buyer wants and you end up going back and forth with redo's and fixes wasting all of your time.

Yeah, 100% true. The furry fandom itself is cringeworthy but having a furry subform for all the special snowflakes would be awesome. Also would be easier to organize it than to throw some stuff into the furry fandom thread and some stuff in the lolcow section.
There are a lot of furries that show the same behavior like NicoBay does. "SecreT" already has been mentioned I think. "Artica Sparkle" the raping herm wolf nightmare creature also screams for more attention.
