So apparently Kotaku in Action is now okay about posting about politics even though their rules stated they ban that stuff. How very peculiar.

Translation: 'Fuck black people'-in a fictional movie about fire-breathing dragons, apparently. It's ironic how they demand 'realism' in children's media. Last I checked, dragons didn't actually exist in ancient Viking history. Sure, they're mentioned in books, but there's no scientifically proven evidence that dragons were real during that time.

Yet Kotaku in Action is mad because a children's film is going to have a few Black actors in it. I just don't get KIA's mindset on this one...

There's a particularly dark mindset that often sets in as a trauma response when it comes to shit like KIA, and is very nicely personified in that prick Grummz.

Online discourse for them used to be lively, congenial, and fun - a bountiful source of actually cool shit and useful information. That is, until inevitably, shit like the Autism Holy War went down and every single games journalism outlet went mask off with fucking contempt for their own customerbase, followed by various DEI groups in gaming murdering franchise after franchise after franchise. This shit happened so hard and so suddenly that it caught them mostly by surprise and left them fucking constantly barking at shadows lest the threat resurface.

The end result of this is a group of people who see possible threats everywhere, in no small part enabled by shit like the CON Leaks showing that the groups responsible for this faggotry in the first place were involved with shit infinitely more heinous than what they were complaining about. And while I think fawgs like Grummz do a great job of highlighting the danger of looking too deeply into fucking everything, I also can't really blame them for it at this point.
