I consistently liked RvB all the way through Season 10. I think that the way in which they expanded out the world gradually was pretty well done and I think that they chose exactly the right time for the Bloodgulch Chronicles to wrap up since by the time they were ready to move out of the Gulch they'd basically beaten the Gulch to death and done everything they could within the confines of the box canyon. I liked the Freelancer program stuff since it allowed for some really nice contrast between our Sim Trooper cast and the actual professionals which made for some really good situational comedy as this total Goofus team kept getting one over on the Gallant, I also think that Season 10 was a perfect ending point for the series.

I honestly think that RvB didn't start to go downhill until Season 11/whatever that prequel series they let Monty jizz all over was since that was when the focus of the show shifted away from the misfit reds and blues as characters and the tone as a comedy. Even during the "darker" moments of Seasons 6-10 they never fully lost that comedic focus and they were still a machinima rather than a cgi show.

Edited for spelling and grammar.
How did season 10 end anyway?

That was where Church as The Alpha sacrificed himself.

EDIT: I'm fucking retarded and I meant Season 8 as the last good season of RvB. I just looked it up and Seasons 9 and 10 are where I stopped watching, I stand by my previous statement but replace all instances of "Season 10" with "Season 8".

I don't understand how the YT algo is fucking them when they literally own the channel LETS PLAY. They own the plain phrase that has been used to describe someone playing video games on yt and providing commentary. How are you not in the algo for everything with that?

Also calling it "stealing" is fucking laughable. You upload content on a website for free or one that can be accessed for a free month. You can't complain at all. Start making good shit again and people won't let that sub lapse after a month.

It's not rocket science. Make Good Content. People watch/sub/donate. You could make a good video every 6 months and people will still be there when it comes out.
But making good content means they have to actually do work, which is something RT is allergic to.

They got hit with a new negative Glassdoor review as well, apparently:
https://www.reddit.com/r/roostertee..._glasdoor_reviews_are_out_and_it_doesnt_look/

The amount of copium in that thread is unreal though, even though the legitimacy of Glassdoor reviews might indeed not be 100% solid.

If this is a troll review it is decently in-character. Joel getting fired because he wanted to open carry (concealed maybe?) is the funniest shit. At least, that's what I assume happened. Maybe one of the founding fathers had a mental breakdown and was threatening to Narcissa Wright the place, idk. But RT un-writing someone out of history because they insisted on taking their gun into the office is more in character.

On Barb's reddit post, Tiktok views don't actually mean anything because people can watch it for less than 1 second and it will still count as a view. And I highly doubt tiktok views turn into much money for RT at all. No zoomer is going to watch 35 year olds do a bunny challenge and immediately go to buy two shirts which cost 130$.

How the fuck do these zombie internet companies keep going?

Venture capital and investors who are so far into the bubble that they aren't aware of what's going on. RoosterTeeth on paper seems promising because they were one of the first web companies making their own content and have a loyal fanbase, or well they did prior to 2017ish when they started rapidly alienating everybody.
Most big companies don't see creative works as anything, but a brand. It's why they reboot properties to the point of no longer resembling what people liked about them, they just care about the name. Odds are they just want an IP farm and maybe a place to poach talent (animators, graphics, and other shit).

Also can someone post the glass door review? Spoon feed me, please.

Watching this, lot of stuff I wasn’t aware of. Must have been some “you had to be there” kind of shit.
I've finally sat down and watched it.
Not bad coverage. Joon hit all the major details.
Not surprised David Dreger/Knuckles Dreger wasn't mentioned (no one seems to be either aware or care too much), but a little surprised that Michael Quinn wasn't added in when he talked about the continuous trashfire of 2019.

You think it’s worthy to be added to the OP?

Anyone have any estimates for when Rooster Teeth will finally go under? The writing seems to be on the wall.

I'm betting on one of these fan fictions coming true:

- massive rebranding/restructure to be a pawn of Warner that allows small-time creators to gain funding + an audience, this is probably the good ending at this point and maybe it won't even be called rooster teeth (due to association with cock bite which is 110% homophobic am i right). RWBY is given to properties which can actually do something with it, other money making properties (death battle, podcasts) become part of this structure and still continue in a form where the scope is narrow, determined

- RT goes full zombie channel. People continue to leave until most of those that we grew up with are gone and the hangers-on are a shell of who they once were. RT bleeds money until they stop receiving any substantial amount from corporate WB.

- RT gets liquidated and the channel becomes a ghost town. Some onscreen talent moves on to start Dollar Tree RT and it sucks ass. Some others start something that isn't half bad but it never sticks around. RT is hit with a class action by former employees.

In the end, Burnie foresaw all of this and got the fuck outta dodge. I guess Joel got spared as well, despite being completely fucked over by his former friends.
