It's a good thing that Mexican journalists regularly get eaten like a minnow in a bass lake by the Cartel or the government.

Having a close relationship with Mexico for the past 40 years, there are some very good, true to the cause journalists. But they inevitably get whacked. Maybe American journalists could learn something here?

Can the cartels come up north and share the love to our journalists? Asking for a friend.

Some investment sperging:

These ESG funds are seeing huge outflows as investors are bailing. This shit just isn’t making money.

You know what’s making me a LOT of money right now? Long energy stocks. When I listen to the earnings calls, the energy companies are all saying the same thing:

“We can pay of ALL our debt in three years at these prices and buy back all our stock. It would be foolish to invest in equipment and exploration in this political environment. As shareholders, expect special dividends.”

This is bad for society and having the lights on/ affordable gas, but great for my savings.

The ESG bros are trying to starve the capital out of hydrocarbons. But remember: if the mining/energy companies can’t get money from banks or hedgies, they will get it from consumers.

It kind of reminds me of the Russia situation. They are trying to “cancel” Russia while they still need her energy and agriculture outputs. Are the big boys really going to infinitely lose money in garbage green companies while the retail investors clean up on energy companies?

This war on reality has many fronts.
My stock in XLE has been making a killing lately. today was a bad day but I still earned like $15 on my energy ETF.

Getting lost in recent press briefings. I was trying to see if the white house announced anything about the ukraine chick coming but didn't find it yet. There was this exchange from earlier today that prompted me to look more into the student loan promise.

Turns out August 31st is when the latest student loan covid deferment ends. And even the press seems to be aware Biden is probably gonna do nothing. Most news sites are reporting what-if clickbait type stuff or bills that will go nowhere. I graduated with a degree and $25,000 in debt. I lived at home and did NOTHING but worked for a year solid to pay it all off. That was over 10 years ago, and the "go to college, it's your only option" narrative was DRILLED into my head. Now it is literally "you can work an office job making 17 bucks an hour but you will have a 300 dollar a month payment." People know this and still willingly go to college with no direction. I feel I at least had the excuse that from age 0 to 18, I was told I need to go to college to have a chance in life (As I work my blue collar job right now doing fine). I suppose we shall see how the polls go when all the college kids realize Biden lied about the loans to get elected. Some other stats about loans

MODERN AMERICAN POLITICS
Its gonna get pushed to January. Biden admin will say its to give congress time to act to help people whose paycheck is stretched by inflation climate emergency blah blah. Then he blames Republican congress and Congress blames him. Its the GOP and Dems favorite position sense they can blame all failures on the other and the base will accept it.

How long will it take for Americans, particularly American Conservatives, to accept that the two political parties they embrace are ultimately led by the same people? I'm not just emphasizing Israel since there are other, more glaring examples that you can observe without having to believe in the Jewish Question. Large banks, pharmaceutical corporations, and the upper elite are frequently untouched no matter which of the two parties is in power. Conservatives, who now embarrassingly see themselves as the counterculture of the twenty-first century, propagate leftism by worshipping corporations, who in turn view them as nothing more than exploitable zombies yearning for their next product. Nothing is more pathetic than witnessing stubborn conservatives defend large corporations when those very same entities incessantly spew forth leftist trash.

Last they talked about Bio-Labs they admitted they existed and that they where US funded BUT that they where 100% peaceful labs for good research and definitely not weapons.
So now they admitted it was Hunter who was setting up those labs but of course they where peaceful labs definitely no weapon development going on there
tbh even if they were supposed to be peaceful biolabs of nondeath, with Crackhead Hunter in the mix I can easily see how they could accidentally started breeding omegaherpes or some shit just because of him

Which is why this inflation rate is bullshit.
a 50% increase in paper money only produced ~10% of an inflation rate? Lmao.
Inflation is a real weird issue, honestly. The USD is the world's money, not just ours. As the world's reserve currency, the exchange rate between dollars and other currencies determines how international debt works. And nearly every other country on the planet is seeing massive inflation of their own currency, as they all printed too much money and produced too few goods over this pandemic period.

So, as I understand it, if their currency is inflating but our inflation slows, then their debts effectively balloon and every country on the planet starts to default. If Botswana can't pay their loans, then you can squeeze the money out of them one way or another. If it's everyone all at once... well, that's a fucking Jubilee waiting to happen. Maybe that's what needs to happen. I don't know.. But I think that some level of inflation is intentional, since otherwise you are going to see a bunch of dominos fall on the international exchange.

Yeah, let's just put 3 dozen level 3 and 4 biolabs in a country whose primary selling points are lack of oversight and complete immorality. Don't ask why, lol!

There are a lot of people looking at their oncoming 60s and 70s, wondering why their children won’t talk to them. The boomers and GenXers really dropped the ball with trying so hard to hold power that they even burned their children for it. There are people that can step up to the plate, but it is hard to get said people to care anymore, due to being burned for the crime of competency.

You’re going to have a hard time getting these people to take the reins of anything, since they expect the knife in the back due to experience. The only solution is to offer them pure revenge at this point, or at the very least a guaranteed clearance of every backstabbing subordinate from the old generation.
I gotta agree with @Rikel22 in that Millenials and down haven't been adequately trained and in some industries (e.g. Comics, Film, Television) are promoted based on incompetence. Based on lazy LinkedIn/Resume reading, the incompetent ones have the better records as famous screw-ups. Rian Johnson's career is going up despite making The Last Jedi and souring Star Wars as a brand. Sana Amanat, likewise, has a stable career despite a track record of fucking up whatever comics company she works for. Anita Sarkeesian... needs no explanation.

Now, you say, "Who in their right mind hires these people?" Well, they have an advantage in that people know who they are. It doesn't matter if their output is bad because competent nobodies aren't memorable. The results are obvious; competence gets a cap due to lack of advancement. Connected incompetence? That's how to get promoted.

I still say Putler should have gone with the COVID weapons labs as his casus belli.

I think the real problem are RINOs. They either don't see this at all or they don't care because they're more than happy to sell out. Not so much a genuine conservative. It remains up to voters and people in media to point this out.

You're full of shit. I've raised four kids, I'm 67. And they have great lives and own homes and have successful careers and are making grand babies, the oldest of which just graduated from high school.

Please explain how I "burned" any of them. I raised them in reality, not being given asspats and trophies just for participating. They are successful and productive and enjoying life because they were raised to be so. And maybe as a slighter influence, they knew dear ol' dad would put his boot firmly up their respective asses if they didn't.

So in being nice and inclusive and all that DEI shit I have to deal with daily in my job, fuck you. How many children have you raised to adulthood?
THIS.

I'm also 67. Raised two kids, eight years of it as a single dad, and raised a stepchild to adulthood. They are all out there doing well. Have grandchildren, too.

I sure as hell didn't "burn" my kids. I sacrificed for them, like any dad would. Lived beyond myself, always and still do put my kids' needs first. My kids learned to work early, starting in high school, and they were expected to give their best effort anywhere they went. They did.

Mercifully, am retired and need not deal with any of this "woke" BULLSHIT. But I am nice to people, treat everyone with courtesy and respect.

Indeed, how many children have you raised to adulthood?

I'm of the thought that Hunter was trying create bio-organically grown crack myself. Makes as much sense as anything else, TBH.

I half believe them on that, if you want highly qualified skilled professionals who actually dot their j's and adhere to all protocol for Burger flipping wages to a westerner; a Slavic nation, more so the big ones is where you will find them.

However knowing what envelope pushing degenerates Washington DC is; it would be like them to do such crap such as develop bioweapons near Russia's border out of some weird sexual energy.

I don't think he was targeting you two specifically and the levels of offense you guys took is interesting.

I have alot of gripes with generations prior to Gen x and zoning laws and fucking the housing markets if you want to have a slap fight in dm's. I'm not blaming you guys specifically, just the generational policies of "fuck you, got mine" - by no means were any favors given to those of us who did everything right since graduating in 2007. Served, college, saved, worked our asses off - will never get a home unless we can down payment 250k and get fist fucked with 50 year notes and not hitting principle for the first 20 years.

Right next door to a country that has consistently told the US for years 'step out of our fucking backyard,; no less.

RINOs are so utterly dependent on voter apathy that it's astonishing.
You'd think the only kind of lab Hunter Biden would finance would be a meth lab.
No reason they can't have those in Ukraine.

That generational policy is really going to fuck a lot of those boomers and Gen Xers that were more selfish when they find their kids want nothing to do with them in their twilight years.

Baldy's coping and seething. He's supposed to be a "decency" and "respectable" Republican, by the way.

He's also not endorsing Dan Cox. I heard that Cox did try to impeach him, but it's Hogan, so based.
That's funny coming from a faggot cuck like Hogan. Republicans lose because of Republicans and not Trump. How does he explain the candidate he endorsed losing? The cucks are like the democrats. They blame everyone else but themselves. Hogan only won in Maryland because at the time the democrats were going batshit insane like they are now. They were talking about taxing rainwater in MD. Also, because O'Malley was such a piece of shit. Ehrlich was only governor for 1 term because they ran Kathleen Kennedy Townsend.

Voter turnout amongst Democrats in MD is way down so Cox might be able to pull it off.

The weapons labs in Ukraine were all BS. There were no US bioweapons labs in Ukraine. The Russians were making shit up and looking stupid while doing it. Putin went with the whole Nazis thing as an excuse for the invasion because he wanted to appeal to Russian Boomers. The Russians are very Boomer tier about WW2 and Nazis. Even worse than the US. It's funny seeing the Russians going on about Nazis in the Ukraine after the Soviet Union spent time funding Neo-Nazi groups in West Germany in the 80's. Matter of fact that's one of the things Putin was doing while stationed in East Germany. He was shipped back to Russia because of corruption allegations.

It's not even that. I *can't* do anything for my Mom. If I can't even afford to rent a single bedroom for myself, how am I supposed to afford a care home or in home caregiver when the time comes? She knows and accepts that, though.
