General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

So I'm only like 20 minutes into Sana's last solo stream, but she's mostly taking these last ~9 days until graduation off, right? And she said she has a lot of grinding to do to do everything she wants for the graduation stream. I kinda wonder if she's planning to use her full-power to draw an art piece of her+Council or something. Again, not knowing the timeline of how artists generally work, but something along the lines of this: https://twitter.com/namgoreng/status/1540757459110768640

And obviously there's also planning/setup for the stream itself involved in this last prep period.

If she releases one I might have to actually get my first daki. Bonus if there is no lewd/yabe side so I don't have to hide it in shame.
IRyS is the one who broke me on that front. I still question whether I actually want a body pillow (I mean, it does sound kinda nice, and I've always wanted to try a weighted blanket too 🧩), but even then I don't think I'd ever actually use the cover on a pillow because I have a habit of worrying about breaking things and will most likely keep it in mint condition, sealed in it's original packaging.

Ina is not the only recent member of the homeowner association:

"Kos/Kost" or "Indekos" is one of the most popular form of housing in Indonesia. It's basically renting a room with shared facilities like bathrooms and kitchen, though the more expensive ones offer private facilities inside your room like a studio apartment. But unlike studios room in the west, almost all buildings used as kos are either houses or small buildings. So the residents can still have that sense of community between neighbors

Smart business decision by Moona, kos are getting more and more popular. After all it's usually used by students or young workers, and since the country is finally going to loosened up pandemic restrictions (it's election season soon after all), people are going to go hunt for kos to live

So after years of waiting, are we finally going to get our first Male Corpo /here/ VTubers?
Don't think Noir will go the vox route if he is indeed who I think he is Which I found more schizo reasons to believe its the orc this morning
And who is this person you have in mind?
The designs of the models is unironically entirely up to the artist and they can either design them with the talent in mind and base it off general information/their video auditions or they can just make whatever and hope the person assigned to it fits in some way.
Yeah, pretty sure this is the case. In an interview, the designs are either made before they selected the talents, or made with the talents in mind. I'm thinking both HoloX and StarsEN are the cases of the latter, especially HoloX

From what I remember the only actual guideline/form of direction the artist gets is just a few bullet points of a character "outline" (I say outline but it might literally just be sentence describing the character theme their supposed to go with) and they just go from there.

Kiara for example probably just had "Phoenix" as her description so Huke probably just did whatever than based part of the looks on the IRL Keekihime.

this falls flat once you remember the many times that Kiara and Calli have discussed that they were almost reversed in their models. Kiara's talked quite a bit about how her character design was initially done with zero input from her and she only really got much influence once her casual outfit was coming. I believe Gura has said similar.

A lot of the talk of the Myth models lining up with the girls personalities ended up just being coincidence according to the girls themselves.

Latest chapter of the Weekly Young Jump manga Oshi no Ko is about a vtuber and basically just features a giant Nijisanji cameo.

I don't think they are all meant to be actual livers, but Sasaki, Kanae, all of JK-Gumi, Himawari Honma, Hoshikawa Sara, Elu, Ryuushen, Roa, Rion, Gibara, Lulu, Yashiro, Kanda, etc are all pretty easy to spot.

The mangaka - Akasaka Aka - is a vtuber fan and has collabed with various vtubers, including Niji members, so it's not just some random person talking about vtubing.

I still don't understand how the designs for Tempus turned out like.... that. I do enjoy Holostars a lot and I at least think the current JP Holostars have some nice and easy on the eye designs. Even when Uproar came out, I didn't have much to say about it but now I'm just dumbfounded for a whole other reason entirely.

Someone, somewhere, in Cover really said "Yes, I like this" and gave it a stamp of approval.
Cover's strategy (or at least, one of them) seems to just be "hire big name artist and let them do whatever." Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. IMO the strongest designs in recent Hololive history do not come from their slate of FGO artists.

Pretty sure Akasaka Aka also designed a Vtuber character, someone from the Sony group that nobody watches

I didn't say they had input though? It's entirely possible that the artists just looked at the auditions themselves and just adjusted it because they wanted to make it a bit more fitting for the person getting their model.

Everything is up to the artist initially and that includes the possibility of researching the applicants themselves if they wanted to.

Which always makes me have some doubt every time they talk about their own physiques which somehow matches with their model. Biggest example is Gura who just happens to be as short and flat as her model, I still have doubts that her irl height is 141cm.

This makes me want a legit vtuber LN/manga/anime, but in a serious format, not slice of life, the drama that they could conjure up basically writes itself.

He did a pretty good job btw, i don't even watch the nijis and even i can recognize most of em.

Yeah you're a bad person but unless a miracle occurs, I doubt she will get above 750 CCV for quite some time. Pippa, as memorable and infamous as she's become, has been at it a year and she's lucky to get to 600ish a stream. Just be normal and have something interesting to say and you're pretty much guaranteed interaction.
Be normal...

Ah. Found the real reason why Sana bailed right before her anniversary. She wanted to spare the planet...

Hololive already have manga no? Anime is impossible due to the cost.
