I'm about 15-20 pages behind on this thread so I hope this isn't clocks.

During the Jimquisition, PPP told a story about how after Surfer, he had to move to a cabin, where he froze, where he "could not make the cold stop," and made a resolution to not be that broke again. The story was extremely well crafted, seemingly designed to maximize emotional response as it contained a number of tropes that humans almost have an instinct to rally behind - the betrayal of a long time best friend, the down-and-out low point with a steadfast resolution to never go back, and a redemption arc of two enemies becoming homosexual lovers business partners.

The story was largely used to justify PPP becoming a shameless grifter. The story also set off massive "YOU'RE BEING MANIPULATED!" alarms in my head.

Maybe I'm being dense. Didn't PPP stream from the cabin, albeit extremely poorly in very low quality? I think if he was wearing winter clothes indoors due to the cold, it would have stood out in my head. But I went to the channel and couldn't actually find any of these streams. Did I dream these up, or did he delete them?

I dunno, it's probably a minor point in the whole scheme of things. The story just seemed very insincere and contrived and it bothered me a bit.

I saw a few, he was cold, he often mentioned it. On one he was wrapped in a blanket. It seemed to be too high effort/playing a long game, to be fake, at least from him. An experience like that, would make for some soul searching and resolving to never letting it happen again. just my 2c
