And how many Boomers were CEOs of Fortune 500 companies in 1985? it's natural that years of experience and waiting out the old guard will lead to disproportionate representation of older people in positions of leadership. I generally agree with the position that there is a large trend among boomer parents to have been neglectful narcissists that caused their kids to resent and neglect them, but your point is simply nonsensical.

I don't want to go too deep on this generational divide but there are cultural differences between the generations. The better question to ask would be what was the culture like before the Boomers took the reins, during and after. I don't see things like zoning laws, attitudes to further education funding and (ever growing) corruption in politics as unrelated. There is a "Boomer" mindset, it's just that the mindset is certainly not held by all or possibly even a majority.

Millennials aren't going to be much better either. The influx of woke shit into every aspect of our lives has a lot to do with our cohort entering middle/senior management. As The boomers can be blamed as a cohort for the shit @Ruin mentioned we can be blamed for this woke shit. So I'm happy to through shit, but there's plenty that can be thrown back.

Serious question, I'm curious what economic policies they could bring forth that haven't been tried already.

Not gonna lie, I've worked in banking the last 20 years. Yes, the CEOs are often fossils, but the core workforce is indeed already Millenial. And plenty of pink/green haired Zoomers running around the office, too. As a Boomer, I'm the minority and no, I don't control any of the purse strings; I work in Risk.

I agree with @Just Some Other Guy. All those dangerhairs would purity-spiral each other with cattiness and use ESG as a pretense. People like Anita Sarkeesian would rise to the top and make anti-business decisions like price controls and increasing the minimum wage.

I think that's overthinking it. I think he picked Pence because Pence looked like a VP right out of Central Casting. He wasn't going to overshadow the boss, which is what you want in a number 2 guy. That he turned out to be a snake is just because Trump underestimated the swamp. I think we all did though, I'm massively politically cynical and I didn't think it was as bad as it ended up being.
