This is why people like the guy. He should have shit on Dwayne Johnson's Hercules too.
>"Joe, I wish you a speedy recovery, even though you're taking the country in the wrong direction. No one wants Kamala!"
Day 546 of missing this cracka like you wouldn't believe.

They panicked over potentially losing the stoner vote. Just look at the theatrics over Joe Rogan!
That was mostly Obama's fault. He set up a digital town hall for his first two years where people could vote online for questions to ask him and he would seriously address the top ones. Every time they did it, weed legalization was the number 1 issue by a long shot. Both times he was asked about it, he blew the question off and made jokes about how juvenile internet people are. People stopped taking it seriously and they had to stop doing them.

So many people I know have destroyed their personalities with weed, meth, ADHD drugs, and SSRIs that my former lolbertarian self now wants it all banned.
Inside every "far-Right extremist" is a libertarian who has realized that "live and let live" is an untenable ethos.

It's frustrating to see people you thought were redpilled dismiss having convictions as something for chumps. "What? You don't smoke weed or support abortion and casual sex? Hah, Square!"

Yeah, excuse me for not being a conformist, hedonistic neighborcattle.

You don't have to use drugs to recognize that the drug war is unconstitutional and a total failure. The right sees weed like the left sees sugary drinks.

Damn imagine him having to answer questions about the clintons, groomers, and DC pedo cults along with his birth certificate

You can also recognize the war on drugs' failure and its dubious constitutional legality while also recognizing that drugs have major negative externalities whether theyre legal or not.

The correct solution (imo) is to go back to having a society that's able and willing to effectively use shaming and ostracism to discourage behaviors without legislation. Of course, that's "mean and judgemental" so it will never happen until things get bad enough.

Part of me wonders if this was part of the push for women being in the workplace. Social cohesion and ostracism used to be mainly done by women after all. Now it's done by unemployed and over-"educated" Twitter dipshits and whatever organization that received enough Soros bucks.

On the topic of cannabis, here is a report published in 2019 on how legalization is going in Colorado.

Legalized Cannabis in Colorado Emergency Departments: A Cautionary Review of Negative Health and Safety Effects

The conclusion:

Don't worry, it achieved its primary goal of getting the Democrats elected and the first thing they did was enact mail-in-voting and they haven't lost since. Weed turned a libertarian state into a blue state overnight, hope drug freedom was worth giving up every other freedom.

I probably differ from the majority of posters here in that I am an active consumer of cannabis. Have been for a long time. Here's my perspective on the Dems attempting to Legalize It! -
1. It won't do them as much good as they're counting on. Yeah there will be a few idiots out there dumb enough to vote blue just based on weed but there are also a lot of smokers like me who just smoke casually and see that it's not worth being a single issue voter over. Also you need to remember tons of stoners don't vote anyway either because they're perpetually high and forget to bother or because they have a felony record and can't vote in their state.

2. There is no reason for marijuana to be specifically banned while alcohol and cigarettes are legal. Weed isn't some perfectly amazing safe consumable but it also isn't on par with heroin and the other shit it's scheduled with. It is something that still has a lot of confusion surrounding it despite our long history with it because the law has made it a challenge for it to be studied effectively across the board.
We know that for most people it doesn't really have a mechanism of physical addiction in the same way shit like heroin etc does but we also know it does cause psychological dependence in some people. We know it is medicinally beneficial in some ways but is not the wonder drug it has been touted as by any means.
Tldr weed is just something that makes you feel good and probably does less damage to your body and mind than things that are already legal.

3. I imagine they're probably banking on conservatives to take the exact opposite stance and start beating the drums to ban it all and make smoking weed an executable offense but I just don't see us going back to reefermania. Too many people have seen the effects of weed, and while occasionally watching someone turn into a bipedal sloth can get grating and everyone seems to get annoyed when we smoke and philosophize to them, that shit is still preferable to most conservatives these days than trooned out kids and imported third worlders.
The Republicans of days past could afford to turn weed into a culture war because the evangelical Bible thumping branch was loud enough about it to make it worth it. These days it wouldn't do them any good.

RINOs gonna RINO, so mad that abortion got overturned by those backwoods "conservatives" they'll vote for something that is going to sneak birth control into catholic hospitals:

Mace is showing how quickly she can RINO her constituents by even trying to be a mini AOC, the sign should just read "kick me"

If you don't like it leave your fucking state bitch, Alex Stein go back to the Capitol and call her a cunt.

Absolutely, but the only people I can think of that claim drugs are good for your health are the pharmaceutical industry and white guys with dreadlocks.
