I think it's both, honestly. Some of us are nostalgic for old Metokur, but old Metokur was indeed better than current Metokur, so it's not entirely a "rose-tinted goggle" situation.

Surfer's allegations have had a bit of a MSNBC pattern to them. Sensational headline with a walk back or correction buried in the back of a 6 hour stream a few episodes later. What you're seeing with PPP, Warski, Ralph, and the like, is nostalgia of those times, and a deep emotional desire to see them return. It's inertia. It will run out if given enough time.
