Don't worry, any competent political analysis firm does in fact check with ordinary people. This is why I do not consider groups like FiveThirtyEight to be competent. We often follow-up our polling by sending a few interns to go to talk to people personally in regions to ask more in-depth, informal questions door-to-door. Usually in either key counties or in counties with a near fifty-fifty split.Mike Pence was in DC yesterday, who knows, maybe he'll be there today to testify to the 1/6 fags and lie about how Trump personally chased him through the White House like it was Die Hard. But he stopped by to speak with "true, tough conservatives" like that fucking poser Chip Roy who then sucked off Pussy Pence.
It's a broken record with me and this faggot Roy isn't even my congressman, but I see through his bullshit immediately. The guy has tried so hard to be the super tough Freedom Caucus republican who always acts like he's brings fire to his house speeches or on the steps of the Capitol, he tries to be the tough bald guy with a beard like he's a military firefighter dad, but whenever it fucking matters he tucks his dick between his legs and waddles away. He is just like a quarterback on the other team getting free passing yardage in the 4th quarter of an unwinnable game, he's just padding the stats.
@Gehenna I know you just do polling but you guys speak to other pollsters and political people out there, I want your company to hear this type of shit from a normie 30 something to relay to RNC cockmunchers if they're hiring you: I will never vote for Pence, no matter what he does from now on. Everyone he associates with lowers my impressions of them, and if the RINOs convince Desantis to run against Trump and force a fight and Desantis somehow wins via fortifying, I will not vote for any republican in '24, I will stay at home.

He did what anyone with wealth should. He ensured his kids understood the value of a dollar. Don Jr. has been pretty open with how he did. He sent them off during their formative adult years to college, told them he'd cover any major disaster but anything else and they were on their own. They had to beg, barter, or work for it. Now, being the son of wealth Don Jr. never had to work at something like McDonalds, but this did ensure that he understood on at least a conceptually level what a lack of money actually means.Lol, watch Donald Trump ending up being the best Boomer Dad since he trained his kids to run his businesses and reprimanded them when they fucked up.
He doesn't have covid. Flat out. Nobody else who would have been a close contact is isolating. My suspicion is, going off his rapid pace of gaffes, the meds have finally stopped working. So they are rushing to find a new cocktail and this buys them time.White House press release

It did break his prior floor but its not at thirty. Hovering between 33% and 35%.Beat me to it.
If his official approval is 37%, then it's probably under 30% just in "margin of error" terms. I presume every poll I see now is skewed 4-8 points in the Dems favor.
You are actually both right. Pence was picked to shore up the lagging support by the, at the time, powerful RINO faction as well as the concerned voting blocs within the GOP. But the fact that he looked like "a VP right out of Central Casting" is exactly why Pence specifically was chosen.I think that's overthinking it. I think he picked Pence because Pence looked like a VP right out of Central Casting. He wasn't going to overshadow the boss, which is what you want in a number 2 guy. That he turned out to be a snake is just because Trump underestimated the swamp. I think we all did though, I'm massively politically cynical and I didn't think it was as bad as it ended up being.
Also Kiwi Boomers, just by being here on the Farms you're demonstrating that you're not typical for you generational cohort. It's probably a case of being too close to things to really get a good view of it as a whole. All of the five generations that are still in play suck in their own ways.
If he wants to waste his time and lose, he can do it. Pence is pretty low in the running when polls are done. Like 3rd place just above Nikki Haley. He can be Jeb Bush 2.Well, there we go. The Uniparty has chosen their anti-Trump.

I can't wait for the same people who were calling him literally a christian fasicst nazi gay killer who is just CHEATING when he refuses to let people metoo him to suddenly call him the best most respectable republican ever (for 5 minutes, then if he wins it's back to him being the worst person ever).
Which in turn means its likely running on auto. Minimal cost, minimal effort, just "If X occurs do Y" without any real input or crafting to match current situations.I would assume that Pence is going to run as the anti-Trump GoP "good guy" the MSM can laud and celebrate by trying to pump him up as a serious candidate.
The Dems would love Pence to get the nod; he'd be a slam dunk vs just about any Dem runner as his position on just about everything are 100% untenable except among the fringe GoP religious types.
So yes, expect to see lots of glowing, smug articles coming out about how Pence is the future of the GOP and if your a "good Republican American" you would support him vs the Evil Orange Man who is Hitler but worse.
It's right out of the standard issue Democrat playbook.
The September hearing they just announced?
Dunno. Probably more bullshit and schizophrenia.

Yeah, those are super popular with antifa types and used to always show up when police would post pictures of confiscated weapons from various riots and protests. The attacker was wearing a Iraq veterans hat which could be a ruse to blend in so he could get closer, or he's some schizo veteran reporting for duty on behalf of the voices in his head. The attack was bizarre and slow which kind of screams schizo, but extreme mental illness and political violence aren't mutually exclusive.
DeSantis is soooooooooo not on the card for 24 in either slot and any time anybody tries to sincerely meme it they just make it clear that they're either in the uniparty and trying to get them to fight or just completely fucking ignorant of Florida's take on the ideaIf Pence is planning to run then I guess Desantis is making it clear he won’t run and RINOs need a new person. That would be smart on Desantis’ part to avoid ruining his political future.
Pence will probably resort to throwing fake lies out that Trump really was working with Russia and said phony soldiers and then said the coveted “nigger” they’ve been looking for. Whatever the case I expect some fun in Trumps speech in AZ tomorrow and in Florida on Saturday.
It’s always weird that Pence is actually younger than Trump.
iirc brass knucks and spike ones might fall under concealed weapons? but yeah it's def state by stateIt's meant to.
Rather than looking like what it is, which is basically a pair of spiked brass knuckles (something that's illegal in probably every state?) it's just an unassuming little kitty where you stick your middle and ring fingers through the eyes, ball up your fist and then repeatedly jam the cute little ears into someone's neck.
It still won't work. Just like it didn't work in 2016. Jeb was the establishment GOP pick in 2016. After a few debates and he crumbled under the Trump bullying they switched to Marco Rubio and then Ted Cruz. They were all the good guy candidates to Trumps evil bad orange fascism. They all lost in the end. It won't work in 2024 either.I would assume that Pence is going to run as the anti-Trump GoP "good guy" the MSM can laud and celebrate by trying to pump him up as a serious candidate.

I'm laughing at thinking of Joe Biden being held at secret pentagon laboratory and Jill telling everyone to try every drug known to man to find something that turns Joe back online like that green goblin sceneHe doesn't have covid. Flat out. Nobody else who would have been a close contact is isolating. My suspicion is, going off his rapid pace of gaffes, the meds have finally stopped working. yeah the biggest message wasn't just that the evangelical grassroots were behind Trump, it was how Religious Right (inc) leadership specifically ordered the laity to stay home or vote third party for whoever the fuck it was, and the result was a massive GOP win up and down the cardIt still won't work. Just like it didn't work in 2016. Jeb was the establishment GOP pick in 2016. After a few debates and he crumbled under the Trump bullying they switched to Marco Rubio and then Ted Cruz. Trump never took a hard stance against abortions, trannies or faggots and he did extremely well with evangelicals in the southern states. The southern states were supposed to be where Cruz was finally going to stop Trump. But that never happened, and Evangelicals supported Trump. The days of the Republicans running on moral issues are over. People expect more substance than just promises to end abortion or poop dick marriage.
Religious Right were pussies unwilling to embrace liberalism it seems like at this point.yeah the biggest message wasn't just that the evangelical grassroots were behind Trump, it was how Religious Right (inc) leadership specifically ordered the laity to stay home or vote third party for whoever the fuck it was, and the result was a massive GOP win up and down the card
You're full of shit. I've raised four kids, I'm 67. And they have great lives and own homes and have successful careers and are making grand babies, the oldest of which just graduated from high school.
Please explain how I "burned" any of them. I raised them in reality, not being given asspats and trophies just for participating. They are successful and productive and enjoying life because they were raised to be so. And maybe as a slighter influence, they knew dear ol' dad would put his boot firmly up their respective asses if they didn't.
So in being nice and inclusive and all that DEI shit I have to deal with daily in my job, fuck you. How many children have you raised to adulthood?
THIS.
I'm also 67. Raised two kids, eight years of it as a single dad, and raised a stepchild to adulthood. They are all out there doing well. Have grandchildren, too.
I sure as hell didn't "burn" my kids. I sacrificed for them, like any dad would. Lived beyond myself, always and still do put my kids' needs first. My kids learned to work early, starting in high school, and they were expected to give their best effort anywhere they went. They did.
Mercifully, am retired and need not deal with any of this "woke" BULLSHIT. But I am nice to people, treat everyone with courtesy and respect.
Indeed, how many children have you raised to adulthood?
Dude, you can the best parent in the world, and bust your ass like Joe Stalin and Slappy (and me), and you will still be the worst parent in the world because they didn't get that shiny Xbox or have a shiny new car at 16.. Them's the breaks, son.I haven’t raised any kids, I just know that if I don’t learn from this giant mound of trash from the previous generations, I WILL be nothing more than shitty parent #639472, if you get my point.
