That's been my experience: Corelle plates are as common as dirt, but Pyrex, Pyrex is gold. That's why you never find it at estate sales run by a professional estate sale company, but if you wander into a family-run sale you could win big from "how much should we charge for an old bowl, honey?"If you look on Etsy you'll notice that vintage Pyrex Spring Blossom Green bowls go for ABSURD amounts.
(Have some, plan on selling them soon, along with a set of Colorcraft dishes.)
I'm no collector, just a lady who likes to eat food off of a fun plate. I do love the Pyrex mini casseroles with the lids for heating things up in the microwave.
This was my experience; they shot off in every direction like an anti-personnel device. Like I said, though, I stepped full on an upside-down soup plate, so it wasn't in the course of normal use.Edit: Corelle is pretty sturdy but if you DO manage to break it I hope you are wearing shoes because it shatters into a million razor sharp slivers.
