There's more shitty parents today than there ever were and if you took two seconds to Google the number of single parent households during the 60's and 70's compared to the number today, you'd see the shittiness has only grown in the following generations.

Cell phones, computers, and video games didn't exist when I was a kid. I actually had to interact with my friends for play. My kids didn't have much of the same until late teens or early adulthood. Today, I see parents handing over their cellphones to 2 year olds to shut them up while they shop in Walmart or Safeway. Just shut the kid up so I can get on with my life.

Those 2 year olds today will be known as Generation Screen. All their friends will be screen names with maybe a few actually being people they know from school. It's already pretty much that way for kids today. So where are mom and dad? Too tired from trying to make a living and pay for it all to pay attention to little Suzy or Johnny, who will troon out due to a lack of love and attention from their parents and because all their internet friends have convinced them they should.

All the options that involve Joe not being president anymore (whether that's via death, resignation, or the 25th amendment) hurt the party a lot for the 2024 general. So they'll probably find ways to limit his public exposure and have him essentially govern the same way he campaigned for office - from his basement, with staff and other party leaders taking the lead on engaging the media/public.
