Should be noted. TFCon Toronto 2022 started yesterday. Today should be the 3pp panel. I have some people over there getting me the convention exclusives since I couldn't go this year since we're packing stuff up to move but should be at TFCon Chicago in October. Toronto and Chicago usually get the best 3pp panels.

3PP panel was a bit disappointing this year.
Biggest takeaways for me are as follows.
Primus. Not sure how I fee about the bit behind the head but looks good otherwise.

New Age Shockwave. Looks great. I hope the handle is large enough for 3rd party Bruticus's to hold.


Fans Hobby Doubledealer colour images. Looks great, I was hoping for a more muted colour than this pearl/ metalic green. I'll get it in case a cartoon colour one doesn't get released.

Fans Toys Cliffjumper looks great and of course this means at least three more colour version on the way.

On to a new company with new original characters
Totally okay with this. Looks great, fits in a IDW, G1, or Movie shelf.

Must get for me.

Other bits of info. New Snarl from Planet X and some more Victory stuff from them. Fantoys colour images of a few figures we already know of like Pipes and Blaster.
Edit: The Planet X Snarl is just the 2015 version so it's a reissue. It does have a nice blue/green version though.

Again, the only thing I like about these collaborative sets is the box itself.

I think the transformers aspects of the sets look cool. However, the biggest single turn off for me is that Hasbro made the joes o-ring figures, which by all objective means are an inferior form of figure construction compared to the modern era style that Hasbro has been making for the past 15 yeats.

I recently got a G2 Silverbolt cheap so I wanted to go dig up the 4 smaller jets to form G2 Superion. So I have around 40 something G2 figures in total and after digging through the box, the 4 smaller jets were not Aerialbots but were the Skyscorchers.

But yeah looks like I won't be getting the rest especially since one of the G2 Aerialbots is afflicted with GPS. Eh at least I have the Combiner Wars G2 Superion.

Newage Arcee. Bot mode looks great especially at this scale. I kinda like the chunkier look of the car mode compared to the usual bar-of-soap look Arcee gets and I really like the feet-seat which does a lot to sell the car look, but I wish the windshield were a bit wider and metallic painted instead of transparent. The front of the car is the only contentious part for me, those hinges look terrible on such an obvious and front-facing part of the vehicle.

Personally never been a huge fan of the hot pink color scheme on Arcee, but I’m sure one of the inevitable dozen repaints will tickle my fancy.

Walmart is holding a "Walmart Collectors Con" the same day as SDCC.

I can't wait to see what they're offering that people wont be able to get if even if they do, they'll be mailed in envelopes so the item get's destroyed. I have more faith in Amazon sending me collectors items.

Sold a bunch of PotP and TR about a month ago. The demand has completely bottomed out. You might have luck because theyre gen 1s i hope you got all the guns. They will walk away from a model theyve been hunting for years over those stupid little things

Skullgrin will be a deluxe size tank that seems to be a new figure as it has a 20 step transformation. The tanks before had 14 and 26 step transformation before unless it's a heavy retool. I doubt it though as the turrets are removeable.

I'm pissed how we finally get a g1 alpha trion without any sort of lion armor headmaster or kiddified bumblebee adventures gimmickry atttatched and they made him a one time run exclusive box set figure. The same goes for Classified mindbender as dr. mindbender is kinda an important staple of gi joe and it's his standard appearance which means if they release him again later it's going to be some gimped ass version with mildly fucked colors at best similar to what they did with the standard cobra trooper being made a fucking target exclusive that later got a general release without his second gun, all the contrast replaced with nbluepaint nearly identical to the plastic, and a fucked spraytan orange skintone. At worst which is whats probably gonna happen is we're just never gonna see him get another release ever. Given the iconic army-builder vehicle, the HISS tank, is a fucking one time only haslab production run preorder, and like two thirds everything these past few years people actually wanted became scalper-exclusive limited production or store exclusive figures, I''m leaning towards the "never gonna see that shit ever again" for both mindbender and alpha trion.

Walmart ran out of scourge stock as I was checking out so I pre-ordered him on pulse because weirdly he's the ony velocitron guy in stock on there for preorder. Sucks It bumped up the price to fucking 66 dollars with shipping and tax meaning I'm probably gonna need to either sell some shit or find another way to make cash to get spending money again soon. At least I'm fucking gonna get ONE thing out of this I guess.

Skullgrin and deadend look fucking great but I'm probably not gonna be able to find them anywhere. Dragon megatron clearly has a fucking pre-tooled cryotek-esque head as usually he's depicted as just being beastwars megatron's normal face in a big red dragon body but here he looks like the fucking winter warlock. If they do nothing with that I wouldnt be surprised considering we never saw the grimacing beast megatron face that showed up in some batches of kingdom megatron used for t wrecks.

EDIT: STILL PISSED ABOUT THE MINDBENDER AND ALPHA TRION SHIT BUT I FOUND OUT YOU CAN LITERALLY JUST PRE-ORDER MINDBENDER ONLINE IF YOU HAD THE HIDDEN LINK YESTERDAY AND THEY RESTOCKED THE PREORDER WHEN I CHECKED IT TODAY. THE BUFF DENTIST BASTARD IS LOCKED IN-WAYS NOW AS A PREORDER.
EDITX2: Found out alpha trion isn't SDCC exclusive like some shit said but instead the pulsecon online event thing, there's also gonna be serpentor as one of those it seems, which is gonna stink due to the reasons stated for this and mindbender.

Also interesting to see a voyager Studio 86 Ironhide listing. Could be a misprinting though and be a movieverse Ironhide.

I was about to order jhiaxus but my marvel impactor I bought when it was"temporarily out of stock" that was supposedly shipping mid-august randomly charged, shipped and arrived so I'm gonna hold off on buying Jhiaxus for a while longer now in case I get another surprise preorder charge.

In the meantime, I'm just gonna throw a mildly incoherent review on impactor specifically in here.

He's great, but the gold plastic used for the yellow bits worries me. His chest is entirely made of the stuff despite being purple, the little yellow bits in the chest are painted too which makes me wonder why the new chest is gang molded with the yellow parts at all. His headiIS actually yellow now instead of purple repainted yellow like the last 3 impactor variants, so that's a boon. the 5mm pegs are uncomfortably tight on my copy but weirdly there haven't been any stress marks created from using them. his HEADSCULPT though! I remember when it was shown off and announced people were saying it looked ugly and weird but I was indifferent, but after openingit I really like it. I don'thave the normal original siege impator head which was clearly based on some other panels than this one, but I remember from looking at it that the original head had a weirdly puffy face on some copies. Doesn't seem to be the case here unless I just got lucky.
EDIT: I realized earlier today that he also has an extremely mild cel-shading effect on him, but only on his chest weirdly. the sides and lower part are a VERY SLIGHT shade darker than the rest of him. it's pretty visible in the flash enabled photo comparison further down.

His shoulder cannon has been remolded to have a removable barrel like the one on Jhiaxus for some unknowable reason, and comes disassembled. On one hand, it's great because it's no longer hollow, on the other, it now always sits on an angle when in the proper position. This is the only kind of thing I could think of doing with it after realizing this was a thing. Maybe whenever I get Jhiaxus I'll swap out their shoulder cannon barrels to see what it looks like.


Both of the Impactors I own are the Amazon exclusive variants, and the first one I actually got on a significant discount because it came out before that weird post-skywarp time period where almost every amazon exclusive just became scalper fodder. it's so weird to me that Siege impactor's "exclusive 3 pack" release is just one with the small accents the figure was clearly intended to have when you look at the sculpt with an IDW head jammed onto the modernized g1 body. This NEW one though, also paints in the parts that should have been painted the whole time on the wrists.
The bot mode comparison here uses the camera flash which is why the colors are weirdly bright, and one is cannon-less bcause I can't be assed to find his partsforming gun lmao.

Spindle is nice save for the visible head syndrome in dinosaur mode and the fact the foor-wrists on mine just fall out without clipping in their mushroom pegs for some unknown reason. She's also entirely molded out of the piss yellow and bronzey gold swirly plastic which makes meconcerned about what's gonna happen to the thing within the next few years given the track record with these specific shades.

Reworked/retooled possibly rescaled earthrise ironhide? On one hand itsucks for people that wanted Earthrise Ironhide, on the other it's actually more accurate to how ironhide normally looks now because his legs are grey and got the dickplate/underwear/chastity belt looking thing ironhide's got in g1. More of an improvement than the studio series 86 target exclusive kup and Cliffjumper, though I DO want cliffjumper because I missed out on him the first time and for some reason they didn't give him his properly colored limbs on the first one I didn't get. Seems studio series 86 is going back to translucent car windows again too which is great depending on who you ask lmao.
