General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
@Azchan
I was just going to dm you my praise, but since you're right here I'll just type it out now.
Don't ask me why, but I was listening to some southern gospel music, and one of your clips was recommended to me for the first time. The one where Pippa was figuring out the Holo girl's names weren't that deep. All the 1-2 second clips you put in after she mentioned each one got a good laugh out of me. Good job lol
DM next time. Appreciate the comments but I am not the resident thread mascot nor a vtuber therefore mostly irrelevant to thread discussion.

Would be nice to see how many of these they got right.

Iluna was caught simping for Magni and vice versa
UNITY. The Stars EN will be the great unifiers.

And this will be the only extent of the NijiEN x HoloEN Collaborations.
Who knows. Remember that no one gives a shit about Holostars. They are like HoloID and basically can collab with whoever the fuck they want.

Clickbaiting faggotry coming through. I was going to work on an actual clip but this motherfucker had to do this in his debut.

This popped up on my Tweeter feed. 1658558925226.png

So Regis is the fujou bait as expected (kind of), so he will do fine.
Dezmond on the other hand delivered like I had hoped for. I dig his doodles and shitposting behaviour. Selling copium part was wild, also #maggintime :story: . The lack in his model and rigging reminds me of Gura. But I don't think it will hurt him, content > design. He has earned my sub.

I like how just the other day I was talking about how people tend to look for a bad guy in situations where there isn't really any one source of blame.

And then Omega comes out of hiding and I see all over /vt/ they blame him for every bad thing that happens in EN

It's like magic.
We wanted fucking A-Chan EN or something approaching that, not some douchebag who dabbles in cringe backstories, ambiguous posts with a side of know-it-all-ism.

He does kind of do it to himself, to be fair.

Dude announced himself as some kind of Secret Unlock character with Council and made his own channel with 140K subs. Fell off the face of the Earth after the lore focus around Council was kind of panned. Came back with Tempus and said 'You asked, I delivered' and had a manga one-shot about him being the one responsible for all the new faces in EN.

His channel could've at least been utilised to follow through on how he brought us Tempus by hosting the watchalongs but that was palmed off onto the real A-chan who is just way better at the job and more likeable to boot.

I don't really think he is to blame for much of anything — there's a whole corporate structure in there somewhere — but the way he speaks whilst also not really doing anything certainly turns him into a lightning rod for controversy.

Please let this be the start of the unity arc. We have like hundreds of different awesome collabs locked behind management tribalism fuckery. A rising tide lifts all boats.
I'd be pretty surprised if Holostars EN collabs with NijiEN, even though Holostars in general does collab with Niji often. I wouldn't be surprised if the block - whether it is from Niji or Holo - remains in place.

NijiEN and HoloEN have interacted on Twitter before so this is nothing new. I also personally doubt that it will be reciprocated during Iluna's debuts on Sunday, though I'd be glad to be proven wrong. At the very least the tweets do seem to have tampered down a bit of the dumb tribalism in some places (cough cough reddit).

People will make a controversy out of everything because they want to. Manufactured drama because they find it entertaining or that intensely dislike something and want other to dislike it too. Blame Omega for the actions of stupid people
Is just…well, stupid.

someone being controversial while not actually doing anything is basically every /vt/ schizzo rat in a nutshell

I mean yeah but like if you just don't follow his twitter he basically doesn't exist. I follow like half of hololive and all of EN on twitter. The only time I see anything Omega related is here and /vt/ being inexplicably mad at him when he's just a mouthpiece. you have to go out of your way to see almost anything he says or does.

So it's kind of like the whole getting twisted over lore in general thing where it's just like "well stop watching it then"

Omega just gives a name and a face to any complaints people have. NijiEN fans on /vt/ often just blame Noor for stuff because she's the closest equivalent. Most of the time shitting on Omega isn't even that serious.
oh I mean I know that's just why I said to start with that it's funny in light of how I had just said one day that people weirdly seek out a single figure to blame, and then Omega popped back and became that scapegoat. like within days.

Apparently, Magni is this chink called Professor Landon/Lando:

Yeah, I can definitely see the resemblance especially on the eyes. lmao
You're getting a lot of clocks but I thank you for posting anyway since I had missed this. Interesting. Wonder why this dude wanted to get in on the vtubing racket when he already has a hugely successful channel.

Hope he doesn't give up on his fleshtubing - his videos were pretty funny sometimes.

If you're going to have a face for a corporate entity then make sure you pick one that doesn't annoy the fuck out of the audience. It's not exactly easy to just ignore his postings when your feed gets spammed with his stupid fucking lore and comments by others. It's his own doing that he became a scapegoat.

If your feed is getting spammed with him you've done something pretty wild or are just following him. like I said I follow every single EN member, most I've seen out of him in months is one of the new lads retweeting the manga he posted.
and even then next to nothing when he was active prior.

Or if that alone is enough to constitute "spam" to you well that's rough buddy.
