General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I honestly believe the Beatles would be a great example of proto-idol culture.
How many executives did they have to fuck? How many graduated to later do porn? Why did those manwhores get married?

The west doesn't have an idol equivalent, we always had people living private lives the media was obsessed with exploring. Japanese idolfans don't want people to get married or have sex, western magazines were sold to fans focused almost entirely on failing marriages and sex scandals. Also drug use.
You do understand what proto means, right?

HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT

Why do people do it that often, is it some lemming race of everyone having the same self-fulfilling prophecy of "if I keep everything from a stream in one post, it'll get buried under 10 pages in the next five minutes"?

I agree with your post to an extent, but I'd like to add a little onto it. I think that people just genuinely want to share their excitement with other people. I do the same thing at times, but I just keep it to a minimal number of different posts because I don't want people to skip the thread. Sometimes I do want people to see what I thought was exciting because I think it deserves praise or what have you, and having people just move over it is bad for that lol.
Would a live chat be smart to condense the reactions? I personally don't mind stepping over 30 MAGposts, but some other discussion might get buried.

I was wondering (due to the apparent success of the HoloEN cafe in Seoul) when we will finally have HoloKR
Would you really trust a KR manager?

I'm missing the Pippa interview, but it's sounding like another one I'm going to have to download and watch later. I'm only about halfway through the one with the uwu.tv guy, and I was surprised at how hard she's going at the guy.

Did she find an untapped niche with this interview stuff? Are there any other vtubers regularly doing interviews like this?
You guys were meant to fix her. Now she's got this weird idea that she'll receive your attention by dumpster diving through the internet and bringing back chewed up autism projects, like she's some lost unloved puppy. /sneed

Unrelated, but somebody set up an depository of MAG reaction images at https://magnidezmond.carrd.co
Is that normal for 4chan? Or is this the full power of HolostarsEN marketing?

The way Sana's energy and giddyness contrasts with Kronii's low energy is something I didn't know existed and something I didn't know I'll miss. She's like a puppy covered in sugar.

A council fan translated the beegsmol debut into Chinese, and punched me in the gut a second time when he overlayed the original council debut during Secret Base.

I have observed that while there are no new clipping channels yet, the usual clipping channels made clips about TEMPUS and so did some of the channels that clipped HololiveEN. So, they are willing to open up their "repertoire"?
Think it's more: "Time to exploit the new hotness", as dedicated clip channels is ironically becoming an oversaturated market, a lot of people are probably waiting to see how they pop off first.

I don't know what software and server situation this place is dealing with on a personal level, but livechats tend to be the death of many forum's efficiency and we're already having issues as is lol.

Axel's PL is totally up in the air, but the first place to look is probably APEX streamers since he seems to be genuinely good at the game. One name that's come up is Zylbrad, and the evidence for him is pretty much just that he's an Australian APEX streamer who disappeared two months ago and is a Hololive fan (example 1) (example 2). The evidence against him is that the settings he uses don't match up with what Zylbrad's known to use.

This would be the funniest possible outcome given that Zylbrad has a marker on his head for 'racist/transphobic' humour and also had an ex-budding Lolcow streamer ex-gf in Shenpai that kept on spreading rumours about him and making the post-breakup as miserable as physically possible.

She's also a person who spent the best part of two years as a Hololive fan before writing this, so her awful ex-bf joining their ranks to appeal to and yank money from women is probably going to make her seethe.

This is what I think as well. If anything the channels that clipped are the ones that don't focus on one vtuber from HololiveEN, but make clips from many of them. So, they could do the same with TEMPUS. The best channels for clips though, tend to be the ones that focus one one or two vtubers so I hope for new channels that focus on TEMPUS.

You make a point. Theo is doing amazing work focusing on Tenma, I doubt I'd watch his content as much if he expanded to more channels outside the Phase Gen 1 bubble.

Resolve is very GPU intensive, especially Fusion.

Davinci Resolve is limited to CPU if it's the free version. Once you pay for the lifetime license (300 bucks, I believe), it allows for GPU usage, which is way faster. It will eat up every resource you have and ask for more.

Friend's alcoholic grandma is live with the Alias gals.

Talking about birthing and sipping piss already. Nice job Fish, the sad girl company grows in power.
Tenma said all the UUOOOHHHH posters need to go to jail. Absolutely based.

The actual content of the stream will be Kahoot and a drawing game. Batsu game wheel spin for the losers.
Kahoot pin is 482 0657

Hehe, fish, poach

Not really - those were clearly singers rather than the mixed-media thing that idols do. Remember when Naomi Campbell put out an album and it was"big in Japan"? Because to Japan the idea that you buy a model's album is normal, in the west not so much. I'd say the closest thing to a true idol project in the west was S Club 7 - the TV show, the multiple generations - and while that wasn't a disaster it evidently didn't do well enough for the model to take off.

Off-topic but I loved that show and the first album. On topic, watching the Phase Variety Show and I like this format a lot. The girls seem reasonably close, which I adore.
