One of the things I remember from staying up all night and watching the election results in 2016, was how many states were legalizing weed. Given how widespread it’s used (even in prohibition states), and the existence of dispensaries, this feels a little late to the game. Only 11 states exist in this country where weed is fully prohibited, meaning that it hasn’t been either:
-Fully legalized
-Legalized for medical use only
-Decriminalized

Unless this would allow users to transport weed in the air, or make weed exempt under section 11e of the Form 4473 (they won’t relinquish that modicum of control), this is utterly pointless. Btw, 11e is so stupidly vague, since sugar and fucking COFFEE could be considered a ‘stimulant.’

The one real advantage to legalizing weed on the federal level is that it clears the way to allowing marijuana businesses to be banked, which makes life easier for everyone.

Source: represented several clients in the legal weed business that had to do pretty much everything in cash.

That said, I'm ambivalent about legalization, having grown up in what more than one professional has described as a "drug house" that included retail operations.

Because 'real' mass shooters generally avoid places with significant numbers of armed security officers, regardless of their perceived competence and shooters that glow aren't gonna be sent after major armed security areas, because that armed security and invasive search apparatus is what they want to expand, not show as useless. Atop of that, its not politically free to send glowies out, you need to spend a lot of influence to not get the whole thing exposed. Shit like waving off the entire Uvalde police department ain't cheap.

For me, at least, some of it is sheer pettiness for having to listen to people whine about him for almost two years after he's been president. I mean, if you're still gonna subject me to your TDS every freakin' day, I might as well get lower gas prices out of the deal.

Pretty much this, i don't care about the man himself.
But by god that motherfucker managed to do more to correct the free fall of the west in 4 years than career politicians have done in half a century and all he could really do without getting cockblocked by his own party was making the US oil independent

And now the career politicians are engaging in a deranged accelerationism since he reversed their plans for four years. It also helps that being able to compare and contrast his four years versus any other period recently exposed just how shit their policies are for the people.

Reduced to six weeks is more likely from what I understand. Florida has its own version of Roe v Wade although I don't know what the case name is, I just remember DeSantis explaining that it exists.

But they really haven't shut that much down for any significant periods of time. Just look at their track record compared to Canadian truckers.
