If she does an open meltdown there's gonna be a lot of keno content.
She's not afraid to. I don't think it was documented well here, but around a year ago Final Fantasy 14 had a promotion to get a mount in game via gifting FFXIV Twitch Creators. You gifted a handful of subs to some streamers, and you get the mount. Square got nothing out of it seemingly, but a bunch of creators got TONS of money from it.
However, the controversy was it wasn't a "Anyone Playing FFXIV" promotion, but from a "This select group of people" playing FFXIV. Which A) included someone Squeenix had recently sponsored to play the game from the Wow community, AnnieFuschia, and B) In the eyes of
"SOME" of the community, not enough "BIPOC" creators. So certain segments of the community lost their shit.
Shenpai was not on that list. So what did she do? Had a public forum on Twitch that basically amounted to an airing of grievances/struggle session. They were so up their own asses gassed up on outrage culture, they even had their Nightbot spewing this out in chat:
I'm not finding an archive of the stream unfortunately, because I think she realized how bad it looks to be publicly bitching about Squeenix's business practices in such an obvious way if you want to work with them in the future.
A very biased article talking about it from "her" side's perspective:
And a video from Bellular back then breaking down the numbers and such of how crazy this promotion was for a select few.
We're talking tens of thousands of gift subs to multiple streamers. I personally think quite a few of them were pissed at the amount of money being thrown around to "not them or their crowd" and they couldn't give two shits about the actual representation. They just saw the dollars.
