"Hm, who should I pick pocket? OH! I know! How about that guy with a shotgun?....Oh no, he caught me and he is aiming at me! I should run but, gosh darn it, I want to make him see to not mess with me. Oh no, he is going to shoot me! I should run! But I just cant lose this, my fragile ego depends o-" BLAM

Nigger just cant help themselves can they? When pickpocketers are caught, they bolt for the hills, this suicidal moron stuck around and kept provoking. I legit think he wanted to die.
The hate on Venezuelans are growing up with each day in South America in general.
I'm still waiting when those types of acts gonna be replicated in Chile. In one of the north regions a group of citizens burned a entire inmigrant camp 1 year ago.
Hopefully someday...

Well, could it be because Venezuelans fucked up their own country and are now going to the surrounding nations and vote the same leftists fuckheads that caused their country to go bad? Being a leftist nowadays is starting to become a telltale sign that you are a degenerate at best.

I legit cant stand leftists that leave their shitholes and go vote for it to happen all over again, its legit best to kill them in minecraft so they cant destroy your livehood

Reminds me one of those twitter threads "So what will you do after the communist revolution?"
Outside of the usual extremely delusional comments that resumes to "things I can be in a capitalist society or things I will never be capable of being/doing in a communist society", there are the "Probably face the wall" sarcastic comments to remind these delusional people that will be their fate sooner or later if communists take over.

Im glad most of them we were masks, gotta make sure that Covid doesnt get them even when they are close to drowning to death.

At the last one, it is a healthy thing to do after adquiring true sentience and seeing you are a china bugman.
I'm not sure what success looks like here?

The plus side is that he saw he wasnt a toy indeed
The bad side is that he still clearly couldnt go sailing no moooore....

It feels weird that the Toy Story clip evoked a strong emotional response out of me while I'm apathetic to most videos in this thread. I should probably explore that. But I won't.

It comes down to two things I think

Emotional Connection and Context

We dont know the first thing about these people dying, maybe they were decent folks, maybe they werent. Doesnt matter either way in this case. Also we dont know WHY the IRL guy jumped in that manner, maybe drugs, maybe mental sickness. Also doesnt matter either way in this case.

But with Toy Story, we are attached to Buzz, he is someone we know, someone who is going through an existential crisis that he is placing all his faith upon him reaching that god damn window and flying like a bird. But as gravity brutally takes effect, you can see Buzz's face draining of all hope and there is just fear and shock. Once he lands and sees that he not only survived but his arm came off with no blood of any kind...its where he truly realised he was, indeed, a toy...not a man....all he knew...was a lie.

Its that connection and context that makes this scene hit hard, without mentioning that existential crisis are something that affect people of all ages, especially adults so we can even relate...

Xipe Totec.
Most excellent reference, except I think the Flayed God Reborn was supposed to wear a teenage girl's skin, not a dead narco-soldier's bearded mug.

Still, a creepily good job of flaying whoever's face off, although you can see a large ragged chunk on the lower jaw/neck where they fucked up some. It's nonetheless amazing that there is someone skilled at taking off someone's fucking SKIN thick enough and yet thin and supple enough to be worn!

Sorta, they would also use feather club warriors, iirc. The priests would wear the rotting skins for weeks and people would beg to touch them. City of Sacrifice is probably one of the best books written on the subject and it is amazing.

From Wiki:

The annual festival of Xipe Totec was celebrated on the spring equinox before the onset of the rainy season; it was known as Tlacaxipehualiztli ([t͡ɬakaʃipewaˈlist͡ɬi]; lit. "flaying of men").[33] This festival took place in March at the time of the Spanish Conquest.[34] Forty days before the festival of Xipe Totec, a slave who was captured at war was dressed to represent the living god who was honored during this period. This occurred in every ward of the city, which resulted in multiple slaves being selected.[35] The central ritual act of "Tlacaxipehualiztli" was the gladiatorial sacrifice of war prisoners, which both began and culminated the festival.[36] On the next day of the festival, the game of canes was performed in the manner of two bands. The first band were those who took the part of Xipe Totec and went dressed in the skins of the war prisoners who were killed the previous day, so the fresh blood was still flowing. The opposing band was composed of daring soldiers who were brave and fearless, and who took part in the combat with the others. After the conclusion of this game, those who wore the human skins went around throughout the whole town, entering houses and demanding that those in the houses give them some alms or gifts for the love of Xipe Totec. While in the houses, they sat down on sheaves of tzapote leaves and put on necklaces which were made of ears of corn and flowers. They had them put on garlands and give them pulque to drink, which was their wine.[37] Annually, slaves or captives were selected as sacrifices to Xipe Totec.[38] After having the heart cut out, the body was carefully flayed to produce a nearly whole skin which was then worn by the priests for twenty days during the fertility rituals that followed the sacrifice.[38] This act of putting on new skin was a ceremony called 'Neteotquiliztli' translating to "impersonation of a god".[39] The skins were often adorned with bright feathers and gold jewellery when worn.[40] During the festival, victorious warriors wearing flayed skins carried out mock skirmishes throughout Tenochtitlan, they passed through the city begging alms and blessed whoever gave them food or other offerings.[8] When the twenty-day festival was over, the flayed skins were removed and stored in special containers with tight-fitting lids designed to stop the stench of putrefaction from escaping. These containers were then stored in a chamber beneath the temple.[41]

The goldsmiths also participated in Tlacaxipehualizti. They had a feast called Yopico every year in the temple during the month of Tlacaxipehualizti. A satrap was adorned in the skin taken from one of the captives in order to appear like Xipe Totec. On the dress, they put a crown made of rich feathers, which was also a wig of false hair. Gold ornaments were put in the nose and nasal septum. Rattles were put in the right hand and a gold shield was put in the left hand, while red sandals were put on their feet decorated with quail-feathers. They also wore skirts made of rich feathers and a wide gold necklace. They were seated and offered Xipe Totec an uncooked tart of ground maize, many ears of corn that had been broken apart in order to get to the seeds, along with fruits and flowers. The deity was honored with a dance and ended in a war exercise.[42]

Edit now that I have the book out: The one that involved women specifically was to the corn goddess and salt goddess. The corn goddess was the one where she was killed and flayed and her skin wore around by a priest. Salt goddess is interesting because they used a swordfish beak to saw her head off. Xipe Toltec used mostly male warrior skins.

Fucking reply bug is in effect, @Kvervandi , but excellent info, thanks.

In return, I highly suggest reading the novel "Aztec" by Gary Jennings (but ignore the sequels, he died and they V.C. Andrews'ed his name to pump out shit novels "based on notes he left behind".) It's the most popular and lovingly researched novel by the best historical fiction writer of all time afaik, though both The Journeyer and Spangle far outpower this book, with Raptor being close behind it. Just be prepared for incest and a lot of pervy sex. These actually make his book work rather then working against them. You have to read his works to really understand.
