it is, with a certain demographic pyramid. but if that gets turned on it's head (more old people than young), you start to run into problems.
it also depends how it's applied, "free" doesn't mean someone isn't paying for it, or that everybody gets everything. there are still plenty of plans and procedures you have to pay out of your own pocket.
of course it also doesn't help when you send people home for 2 years to sit on their asses and instigate widespread medical paranoia which strains the systems in a way they were never designed or planned for.

The BBC ran a wonderful propaganda piece this week about those pesky antivaxxers. The focus of the show was to ridicule people for their beliefs, the whole thing culminated in the participants meeting in a vaccine center... none of them caved. The part that everyone is talking about involves the saccharine, ginger doctor teaching the foolish antivaxxers that Myocarditis isn't a real threat through the power of Jellybeans.



The reviews, while very pro vaccine, are pretty sympathetic to the participants... well except for the guardian.

From what I have been reading online, the whole thing seems to have been a net loss for the vaxxies. The sexless, flat-chested Maths Goon even makes a beautiful pureblood cry and this scene has resonated with people.

My takeaway is that TPTB don't actually care about Antivaxxers anymore, I believe they are now more focused on keeping weak willed mutants on the mRNA treadmill than creating new converts. The show doesn't do a good job of selling the Vax, but it does let us know that refuseniks will continue to be ostracized.

Can’t quote cause mobile fag but everything @vanilla_pepsi_head said is true but as someone who works in both healthcare and in the largest city with the largest third world immigrant population; it’s even worse than what you imagine.
I’ve witnessed people bring their elderly frail and sick parents over from a third world shit hole under the excuse they are going to be providing childcare; only to drop that same parent off on the hospital doorsteps with their hands up in exasperation saying they can’t take care of said elderly parent anymore; then they fuck off. Since hospitals cannot refuse to treat and if the patient has no where else to go, they become ALC to wait for a long term care bed. On our dime. After contributing exactly FUCK ALL to the system.
Other examples are the home care waste. They keep coming up with new ‘innovative’ programs to keep people home and hence not ALC in a hospital; but it’s rife for abuse especially from said immigrants. Seniors will have their ADULT children living with them, but yet they won’t lift a damn finger to make them dinner or do their laundry; hence homecare comes in for 12 hours + a day to do these services on the tax payer dime.
It’s fucking sick and you know when the system collapses in 10 years all these fucking grifting immigrants will go back to their own countries where they own multiple properties and wait for the next country to grift off of.

Tldr the biggest threat to Canadian society at least (as we knew it to be 20 years ago), is the massive and uncontrolled immigration.

my only problem with that is that there is a massive drop off in people who boosted vs get the vax. even now all the charts show its about a 70% drop average and this is in the believers. whatever was in these fucking things, it would be a waste of time only putting it in boosters because of how few people got it. even people i know who got the vax were furious once the boosters was announced because they do remember the marketing "so is this going to be like the flu shot every year? i'm not going to suffer side effects from the shot every fucking year"

people also seem to forget that its been about half a year minimum when you could get it. so its not from lack of supply, or waiting times. anyone that still drinks the grape flavoraid has already done their part, and if there is a 70% drop with shot #3, i'd be impressed if we'll see more than 10% of the population get shot #4. at that point they would have been better off just making an STD or tainting drugs like weed or opioids

its also in the health of the people, i know plenty of aryan men in their 70s that last went to the doctor back in high school or when they were drafted. in a socalized healthcare system, you'd be taking 10%+ of their money for roughly 50 years and they'd never take advantage of it. on the flip side i know plenty of niggers that treat it as part of the weekend atmosphere. leaving parties on a stretcher.

immigration also doesn't help matters. its like going to the dentist after not brushing for a decade, you'll be over loading the system because they'll be trying to play catch up and get you up to the normal health standard.

not to get into it, but with private insurance, especially pre-obamacare a lot of it revolved around making sure people couldn't do the equivalent of this to insurance companies. the scenario you're describing is basically a variation on a "preexisting condition" and while the government has forced a loophole, you still have to wait about a year or two to get away with say, forcing your health insurance to pay if you got cancer and only then decided to sign up for health insurance.

I'm currently working security for the rapfugees in my country and amount of times they'll ask me to phone them an ambulance because they have a sore tummy is nuts. To add even more context, the hospital is in a walkable distance and the charities that sponsor them have even said to phone and they will pay and provide a taxi for them.

I know a lot of the lads that work the ambulances (comes with the job) there is an extreme limit of them and I'm not wasting them on a fucking sore tummy, rant over.

Oh, this is just because us Brits don't understand how showers work. Every time water emerges from a tap, we scream in terror and run away before the devil's sweat can dissolve our carefully cultivated, protective layer of grime and soot. A box that makes rain? It would explain why my sister-in-law has had an endless parade of inflammatory illnesses flaring up after years of keeping them under control. The latest is a dormant toxoplasmosis infection (endemic in her home country, because south america is south america) suddenly coming back to fuck with her eyes. Maybe I should tell her to take some of that horse de-wormer...

I also remember nearly a year ago me and another user we speculating on how damaging the lockdown themselves where to people, not the lack of medical treatment or check up, but more with how people where basically wiping away their bodies natural oil on their hands and not maintain enough physicals contact with people to keep a strong immune system.

Either way, people screwed themselves with their health in an ironic twist to keep healthy.
