General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Probably StarsJP, because I don't think TEMPUS will care about Minecraft enough in order to say "let's make our own adventures", and for the reason that the server only has in total 13 people so far.
Hopefully they pick a better game to get a server off, like The Forest, Project Zomboid or fuck, even Conan Exiles.

Vesper already wants to drag the boys to Zomboid as revenge for dragging him to APEX. Something interesting he said is that he thinks watching streamers play games like Zomboid is only fun in the beginning when anything can kill you and you're just finding your footing but finds it to be boring once you get geared up and are less likely to die. He started talking about possible challenges he can do to keep the game interesting but was derailed by FBK showing up asking him to wear his glasses.

IIRC people familiar with her PL said that she's half Hong Konger
Would be interesting if true.

On her Twitch videos, she lists 'Pinyin' as one of the three languages OK to type in her chat. Pinyin is the romanised alphabet spelling of Mandarin Chinese, which encapsulates China, Taiwan, and Singapore. I am not sure if Pinyin is also used for Cantonese (HK) but if it isn't then she'd have to either be from or have parents from the mainland.

Not that it matters anyway because the partially Chinese members of both companies have been really good.

Late, but upon closer inspection it appears she is (or at least, not a mainlander).

Makes sense for Niji since they already have a dedicated China branch.
For Pete's sake. Please try translating "language" to Japanese before you start playing Google Translate Polyglot and you might be surprised by the amazing results you discover.

People malded when Huke was invited to the server and you think they'll let penis-havers play MC with their oshis? Madness.
Also, I have a feeling none of them is particularly interested in playing MC.
Another misconception, people didn't sperg out because he was an "EVIL MALE", backseating faggots got their controllers in a twist because he gave kiara a crossbow with enchantments that it couldn't possibly get unless cheated in, of course those enchantments are fucking useless on a crossbow, but the simple fact that huke was "CHEATING " got the retards into a frenzy, even though im pretty sure all of the girls have OP on that server and the whole incident was just a funny thing he did for chimkin.

(Keep in mind that huke had appeared in a couple streams beforehand and he didn't incite a shitstorm until this particular stream)

Amiya Descent soon. She's starting her sort of break this week which means she'll be resting on some days - but she did prepare some content that will be published on the free days so that the needy dreamweavers and buckos don't feel too lonely.
The title of this stream is a reference to buckos last time pretending they're a bunch of rowdy kids in the back of the car, complaining, being annoying little shits and peeing all over Ami's spaceship because she wouldn't stop the ship in time and let them out.

Most Cantonese speakers I know use jyutping, but I think Cantonese pinyin is the one that's used on official communication. It's basically unintelligible to Mandarin speakers, so even if you typed Cantonese in regular pinyin, most people wouldn't be able to read it. To be fair, someone saying they can read 'pinyin' is barely more than being able to read nothing at all. You lose a lot of context without characters and tone marks, so anything beyond very simple conversational Chinese is basically guesswork.

Most people in Hong Kong speak Mandarin at some degree of fluency, though - either as a first or second language. Ever since Hong Kong returned to Chinese control in the 90s, there's been a lot of immigration from mainland China and pressure from the national government to teach Mandarin in schools. It's not uncommon for Hong Kong natives to send their kids to schools that teach primarily in Mandarin, although those kids will most likely grow up bilingual since they'll be hearing Cantonese at home.

Maria speaks fairly standard Mandarin without a strong accent, either Cantonese or foreign. Her pronunciation sounds more native than Enna's, in my opinion. That doesn't necessarily mean her parents are from the mainland, though; I don't have the listening proficiency to tell if she has a more nuanced accent, like if she sounds Taiwanese or Singaporean or any of the various Chinese-speaking countries all around.

Despite being the most hated Niji wave by Holo tribalists, Luxiem ironically had basically nothing incriminating in that leak. The worst stuff in it was on Pomu (who gave us the "all out war" quote) and Fulgur (who said that Council wasn't as successful as Cover hoped). Vox was in it, but all he did was make a joke about how he's glad that Shu is in Niji because he's their tech support.

I doubt that had much of an impact on these Twitter interactions. HoloEN (and Stars) and NijiEN continued to interact on Twitter after the leak. In this case I think the more prolific interactions are mostly just due to the two gens debuting in the same week and both containing fairly outgoing, nice individuals. I don't really expect that this frequency will continue now that all the debuts are over. Plus if Iluna does collab with Tempus that's just going to lead to a round of "Cover will let their guys collab but won't let Kiara collab" discourse. And the fact that the closest relationship is still that between Kiara and "All Out War" Pomu makes me think the leak didn't have a big role in anything behind the scenes - which makes sense, as Kiara implicitly called it a nothing burger.
The only thing that makes people think this was bigger than it was is that Calli unfriended some of the people at Niji after this. Then again leave it to Calli to pay attention to the retarded shit happening on /vt/.

If the block is on Cover's side, allowing Tempus to collab is gonna cause a shitstorm of people angry that Kiara and Ollie couldn't get their collabs but Tempus can. If the block is on Anycolor's side, I don't see why they would allow Tempus but not HoloID.
But HoloID already collabs with Niji all the time. It could be an EN thing but since normally Cover doesnt give a shit about Stars, I would assume they would have more freedom.

As a gundam fan, I love this so fucking much. I would throw money at this. Odd that they havent collabed with Bandai to atleast get the plastic model kits or the figure-rise ones or with Kotobukiya

Is Aoi a male or a woman putting on a male character?
I've seen posts on /vt/ claiming the latter but never any evidence.
I don't know about Aoi. I am pretty sure that Pippa at one point referred to him as a girl during their first collab with Iori. But their speech did seem somewhat feminine despite having a younger male voice.

Vesper already asked for/teased a project zomboid server.
This will be good but its as he said. It starts to get boring/easy after the first few hours of gameplay. Look at Pippa's Zomboid stream where the guys she was playing with were basically doing fine until Pippa and the other girls started fucking with them which prompted them to kill em. At one point Pippa stole one of the dude's vehicle which caused him to get bit by a zombie.

With how friendly Niji's Stars new generation have been with each other I wonder if that was influenced by the whole discord leak Luxiem (?) had directed at Council. Kind of seem like both want to be more productive than try to numberfag about things behind the scene. Maybe that will help Holo and Niji management calm the fuck down about inter-company collabs.
They're plenty calm about them everywhere but in EN and I doubt that will ever change(except with Vshoujo for some reason).

I don't know why but it feels surreal seeing vtubers discovering warhammer 40k. And the way she pronounced it as "ass-tarters" had me dying
Her getting instantly sucked into the story, becoming super curious about everything, being wowed by the imagery, saddened by the lack of follow up or conclusion, and discovering that space marines were actually human was purely precious.
