You can never prove who anybody is on /vt/, but someone posted a link to one of her videos in /ggg/ so it was likely people that watch Gura. Then her tiktok was found almost immediately because she used the same name for it and her Youtube. Three(?) faggots broke containment instantly in an effort to show just how fucking demented they could be and commented disgusting stuff on some of her tiktoks (I'm questioning three because there were only 3 different accounts commenting on her tiktok). Everyone called them retarded. Then, some guy tried to whiteknight for her, by DMing her and essentially telling her that people "had found her profiles, here's some opsec resources!" which coupled with the tiktok creeps made her rightfully freak out and post that initial twitter storm about how some freaks had found her and were harassing her. Once again, people said the whiteknight was just as retarded for breaking containment as the creeps.
In the end, after she almost DFE'd everything, she actually came back for some reason, and went to read one of the threads that was talking about her, and ended up seeing that most people were being nice towards her instead of horrible (I know, it's a first for /vt/). This then caused her to do a 180 and she tweeted out a message thanking them for watching her and being so nice. She did another stream that got picked up by the algorithm because of all the saviorfags watching, which then brought in people who had no clue why she was being recommended, and now the /vt/ threads about her are in a constant state of telling her to stay away and not openly mention them anymore, because being a /vt/tuber will get her in trouble. It's a truly bizarre situation.
I've said before that painting an entire fanbase with a broad brush is always done in bad faith. In my opinion, I think the few retards who wanted to hurt a literal teenage girl are outweighed by the vast majority that ended up actually doing something nice for her. Of course, the last part wasn't reported on here because that would ruin the narrative the haters are going for. I can guarantee that if she had impersonated any other vtuber, and 4chan got their hands on it, the exact same thing would've happened. Because 4chan is full of mostly normal people, but there will always be freaks that just can't wait to fuck around.
