So, according to a moderator of the Keffals Discord server, the changes are explicitly to hide what's going on in the server with regards to minors who are in the server, from any casual inspection.
This is not at all suspicious reasoning. Definitely not putting up a gigantic sign that says "here be grooming". Definitely not the exact secretive behavior which got parents hackles up about "trans education" in schools in the first place.

HUH?! Why the fuck are they promoting that there are trans teens in their server? I'm sure that a majority if not all the mods are above the age of 18. In my humble worthless opinion, if youre above the age 18 and no longer in high school, you have no reason to be interacting with teenagers especially online. That opens up a can of worms for liabilities. A bunch of adult jannies on a discord with a bunch of private channels should not be creating "safe spaces" in discord.
