This is going to be crazy, and somewhat nonsensical. But let me explain.
Autism is a feature, not a bug, and it should exist in any society.
Imagine, humans are the only species that have autism, and we're also possibly one of the only species in this galaxy with an advanced society, civilization, and culture.
Autistic people exist because evolutionarily they can be supported by non-autistic people, hence why you don't see autistic wolves or rabbits.
And in turn, because we can support people who's brains function differently, we can benefit from them later in life.
Confusing? Alright, let's take something as a calendar. It's something very basic that all of us understand as a concept, but, who the fuck would EVER DEVELOP a system to count hours, days, weeks, months, years and etc in like, 3000BC or some shit?
Who would ever come up with this shit? Autistic people, not "normal people".
Have you ever met one autistic person who can tell you what weekday a date falls on like it's 2+2?
People who can figure out very specific concepts like quaternions and the Assembly programming language instantly?
It's like magic, these people unironically have magic brains that work in frequencies that are different from us.
Now that's the type of person who would come up with calendar. And thankfully to these awkward autistics, we know that we're in the year 2022.
Can you even imagine how many people who have changed the course of human history have autism? How many of them are in governments? How many of them are Musicians? Artists? Poets?
I swear to god, if we bred autistic monkeys and let them out in the wild, I can say with confidence that in 3 generations they will create a small civilization that will resemble the paleolithic because a monkey saw another autistic monkey creating a statue out of dirt.
Maybe I'm crazy, but autistic brains process information in ways that "regular people" don't, as if it's a evolutionary trait or something.
TLDR - Autism is good because they act weird, think differently, and every once in awhile they create amazing things that can be perfectioned by non-autistics, thus evolving us as species. If they fail, they serve as comic relief, and without them, this forum wouldn't exist.
