Anybody who has worked in restaurants in any capacity already has black pants and shoes. They may be jammed in the back of the closet, but they've got them.

If he doesn't, thrift stores usually have plenty of black pants on hand. If the ones you find are too long, and you can't sew, just turn the cuffs under and secure them with whatever you've got—safety pins, a bit of glue, duct tape, even staples (colored with a Sharpie to hide them). Or, you can do a shitty, wonky job of stitching them in place—on black, nobody will notice.

If he doesn't have black shoes, he can use some of Polissa's paints to paint the ones he already has black; that'll last him at least until he's able to buy actual black kitchen shoes. The shoes don't even need to be clean or in especially good condition; the paint will hide all that. One of those little bottles of Kiwi(!) black liquid shoe polish with the sponge applicator tip on the bottle will do the job, too, and they're available in most supermarkets.

Walmart will have a plain black t-shirt, if the thrift stores don't. That, and possibly socks, are the only things he might need to buy new.

Otherwise, making do will make do—especially in Josh's case, because if he lasts a full week at this job, I'll be very surprised.

Josh already has kitchen shoes.

Unless he somehow destroyed them after this post from late May, he'd just need to clean them. He probably has black pants, too.

If this is real, then not only was Josh's gallbladder not as bad as she said, but also that Polissa really was trying to get as many benefits as possible. I also give Josh a week.

She did say that the uniform requires shoes, but didn't offer his shoe size to the commenter who asked. But that still doesn't explain how she would need $300 for goodwill shirt, pants, belt and $20 for a week of gas (unless she lives further out of town and he's working every single day for the next week). You don't need to fill up your gas tank all the way if you have to beg). That leaves around $270 in groceries for two people? I feel at this point she needs to reach out to the HAES crowd and just be upfront that she's having trouble feeding her food addiction and let them help her out.

If he doesn't have a pair of black trousers, what on earth did he interview in?
It's a crappy restaurant and right now everywhere is low on labor. He probably came in jorts and a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and they just asked him when he can start.

Regarding Bella:

It sounds like she had post-traumatic stress disorder and probable brain damage from getting hit on the head like that. I would not be surprised if her skull got fractured depending on what type of baseball bat was used. But of course, Polissa is the victim here and she's so tired from having to deal with her traumatized, probably brain-damaged dog. She should have reported that kid to the cops when it happened, since it's likely they were abusing other animals as well.

Yeah, you did fail your baby. You failed her the second you adopted her. Rot in Hell.

What are you talking about? This looks like a skid mark and blobs of infected discharge on panties, not a beautiful night sky. The ocean looks like fabric, not water, which only reinforces it. :story:

This looks like someone did lines of coke off a vinyl record and then painted it while they were coked out.

This works great as a closeup still life of the couch from a household with eleven cats. I think it was supposed to be lightning clouds though.

Oh they're not good, she just rips ideas off because she doesn't have creativity. I hadn't seen these absolute beauties before and they are amazing but um... Not in the way any artist wants to hear.
I'd usually afford an aspiring artist some kindness and encouragement but she has never afforded anyone those things so no. She doesn't even afford kindness to her animals. Can't even afford herself some olives. She's an irredeemable animal abuser so I don't feel the urge or want to encourage shit for her. The only want I feel is that for the rest of her life she gets the same amount of help she gave Bella: None.

Pollisa's entire life and brain function can be summed up as "light activity". I think she'll be fine.
Josh will bounce from that job by the end of the month at most and tell anyone who will listen and half the people that won't about how his manager is an unreasonable dick who treated him bad because ______.
I do wonder if Pollisa has told him to shut up with torpedoing her work convincing people their fridge is as empty as their heads. She's trying to tell people they have no money or food and haven't eaten in days, and he's tweeting about how they have meat and bought grapes. I hope he never stops undermining her begs because I find it hilarious.

Polissa says someone bought Josh's uniforms and dinner for tonight.

Josh reveals that they were actually given $200 and spent $116 of it on 2 shirts, 2 pants, socks, and a belt (notice they didn't get shoes, because he didn't actually need shoes). The remaining $84 went to gas (which they already got $30 for from Polissa's aunt.. so how much more could they really need for gas) and food for the night.

Polissa tweeted earlier today that they just needed $300 to make it through the next week. They've already received $230 and they can't survive the next 6 days. They'll almost definitely get more than $70 in donations and freebies before the week is up, and she'll still be claiming they're starving and without help.

wait, what? QMB recipients aren't obligated to pay either schedule A or B medicare costs. it's entirely covered 100%. not even copays are billed. schedule C (which covers certain things in addition to medicare schedule B) is a set rate yearly premium that includes medicare schedule B entirely (normally a monthly premium). this allows someone to have private insurance while maintaining medicare eligibility for covered situations and avoids "double dipping" or paying an additional premium privately for something that will never be used. schedule D is not part of QMB and is perscription drugs, however if she's in QMB, she's in medicare, and anything covered in A or B will have a copay set rate for schedule D - meaning a yearly premium regulated at her income level, or if no taxable income (or fixed income like SSDI) is on record, part D can be had at a special lower set rate out of SSDI cash benefit.

parts A B C and D are affected by total household income, where if you or the spouse has coverage through employment, in the absence of an evaluation adjustment, medicare coverage will reduce (since it's assumed a household will have not only more overall income than an individual, but many costs are shared, reducing the overall cost to the government). you don't "lose" coverage, the premium for part B increases with household income. part A is entirely determined by individual income only (retiree, SSDI, et c) marriage has no affect on part A. if you're in QMB, you will hardly ever pay anything in part A or B. if you are in part C, your premium can vary since there is a private insurer component. part D is also always individual but has a rate schedule.

what she says makes no sense unless Alabama (the administrator for medicare in her state) has some bizarre Medicare rules.
