TBH I think we should pester Null to create an entire Vtuber Subforum so we can document all of the Vtuber Orbiters and Vtuber Lolcows Like Mana and the TTS tranny lmao

Doubt it'll ever happen. he stated several times he doesn't want that. Though at the same time he isn't against us having a thread, just gets upset with it at times.

I know we have another thread for vtuber lunancy, but that has became a trashfire and more so a shitfest about things within the site (especially people) then the lunacy of vtubers themselves.

I honestly recommend a proper lowcow vtuber thread that documents lowcow instances of vtubers, cause this thread and the lunancy one wouldn't be best for the time being if you want to have constructive research on em or discussion.

Granted vtubing is going WAYYYY slower than most forms of media, but that is a big reason why people like it. I can be an IRyS fan as a libertarian-leaning conservative Christian, and someone else can be an IRyS fan as some Portland soy commie antifa liberal, because she's not filtering either one of us and just makes good, wholesome content. This status quo is good as is, I don't need IRyS to be Steven Crowder, and they don't need IRyS to be AOC.

Aia sounds like the type of person who leans towards upsetting that status quo. It's a tautology but, 'progressivism' never stops progressing. Compromise is never an option, apologies are never an option, because neither of those are ever 'enough', it always requires more. That's why it just needs to be cut out at the source. Maybe management can cut it out, maybe other talents can tardwrangle her, but the overall movement is inching in the same direction as all other forms of entertainment, and once it moves that direction it's really hard to bring it back.

Edit: And I think a vtuber subforum would be a bad idea. Personally I like just having one page to refresh instead of however many different threads, some of which I'd never end up reading, and then I'd miss out on some cross-promotion, or the same info would be getting posted in different threads. This is probably more granular than people are suggesting, but say there's a Tsunderia thread and a Phase Connect thread, where do you go to talk about Pippa/Lisa days?

my basis for aprehension in this case isn't that she thinks it or doesn't, I don't give two shits what she thinks, Nina likely holds all of the same political views that she did before becoming Nina. Whether or not this girl has "eased up" in her thinking is irrelevant. Part of me even respects the fact that Nina is able to keep that balance and knows better than to shit where she works.

What gives me pause is that this girl is, in small doses to be clear, but still present. Having some of this "sort of shit" bleeding through into her streaming. Anyone demanding some sort of ideological purity that wants a chuuba ruined because they think one way or another privately is only worthy of mocking and ignoring. But it actually starting to make it's way into the content and what that could attract as far as fanbases go is a considerably more valid concern IMO.

Well yeah, that's definitely a bigger concern obviously. I've had a friend with opinions that come from that sphere (from what I remember). So just disagreeing or having a few bad opinions isn't the problem. I think for me it's more of an attitude of looking down on those you disagree with; which this kind of sphere is known for. As I personally can't respect someone who acts that way and I want to respect the VTubers I watch. I watch them for their personality.

Many of the voices take getting used to.

It's much more commonly used by Vocaloid fans than general anime fans, so it's much more understandable Regis and Ike would use/know them considering their backgrounds (youtaites - Youtube Utaites). It just comes from Utattemita/歌ってみた (I try to sing) from old NND days that people still use today, although now more and more people just opt to call it for what it is which is song covers.

That still doesn't point to it being NijiEN management. HoloID is still under Cover, which allows ID and JP to collab outside fine. So you can't 100% point at AnyColor either because they allow collabs with anyone within a simple restriction (Indies have to have an actual following so they can't be just random nobodies off the street) meaning it's literally either/or Cover/Any Color preventing it and it's pure speculation as to which side.
