Does anyone think the abortion rant may have been kayfabe designed by PPP? I mean Andy was honest in his rant, but I can't help wonder if PPP decided Warski needed to "turn heel" due to all the hate he was getting.
It's a good way to spice up and change the direction of the show, though I don't think Warski has the talent to keep the rants going.
It's hard to say, but i'd tend more towards it being organic. If PPP did want to spice things up, I don't think he'd suggest the use abortion as a means to do so, but I am more skeptical about PPP lately, so who the fuck knows.
TLDR for the next part - suggestions/Feedback for Warski and PPP:
1. Warski, chill out with the mannerisms, or at least shuffle through them more often. I know you can do better. I also think most of the viewers enjoy you as a host, but lately the show has been stale and repetitive. I can only take so many "
METOKUR MASSOCHIST FOR FIFTY DOLLARS!" before I want to off myself (in Sudoku).
2. Manage the flow of the show better. I understand shilling for donations, but it shouldn't result in a disruption of the natural flow of the show. I would appreciate if you'd took out a larger middle segment of the show to address a bigger chunk of donations, and then finished the rest of them off at end of the show. You'd also make the show flow smoother, as less time would be wasted with interruptions. I would much rather have a 3.5-hour action packed show, than a 5-hour shitfest, where by the end, you are both too exhausted to be bothered. I think this could potentially be a big improvement considering the type of lore-heavy content that you are dealing with in the first place, and it would allow for more in-depth coverage of the backstory of each segment for the newer viewers.
3. Take more actual risks. IIRC you have already stated that the show needs to be reinvented (or something similar). You guys are both funny, and you could do so much more.
Here is one random idea that you can do whatever you want with:
New Segment(s) - "The weekly/seasonal Felt":
The application proces:
1. Viewers can apply to become ("challengers") wanting to 1v1 debate PPP about a certain topic as chosen by the challenger (maybe from a list of relevant preselected topics). These applications are sifted through; and the best candidates picked prior to the rake-back. I think around 4-6 potential "challengers" per. week would be ideal.
2. The selected crop of "challengers" are presented to the viewers on the Rake-Back with their name, selected topic and maybe a tagline/comment/short soundbite to antagonize/taunt/troll PPP or even the viewers themselves.
3. A poll is created, and the viewers decide which "challenger" gets to have a 1v1 on the following friday with PPP.
The weekly felt format (1v1 against PPP)
1. The format for the 1v1 is debate or banter based on the given topic/challenger. This could vary greatly and be unpredictable based on whether you have a challenger who is a schizo-shitposter or a serious debater. I think PPP would would excel at both personally.
2. The duration of the entire segment would ideally be 20-30 minutes (including polling for the winner of the week).
3. The moderator is the
totally unbiased and completely good-faith Andy Warski. Because it is ultimately up to the viewers to decide who wins; Warski does not need to be a reasonable moderator at all. Warski can entirely derail the conversation for entertainment purposes and even attempt to help the viewer or PPP. This adds some flexibility and entertainment potential to the moderation.
The seasonal felt format (special event)
- Challengers who got felted by PPP or simply had cold feet (choked/no-showed) has their name added to a
seasonal wall of shame.
- Challenger who felted PPP are invited to a
special event at the of the season. Ideally this would be a longer segment (maybe 1-2 hours), be turn-based and include pretty much any type of activity, as long as it is doable online, and engaging for the viewers. A few ideas I thought about are really retarded competitions such as "
Who Can Draw the Mexican Child better in under 2 minutes" and "
Who Wants To Be a Ralphamale" based on deep lore questions about the Ralphamale and his orbiters. For this last one you would
ideally include a "Call Jim Metokur" lifeline.
- Whoever wins this final special event gets the bragging rights (or maybe some other prize idk.).
Potential pros:
1. Potential for increased viewer interaction.
2. Very unpredictable (crazy) content.
3. Outsourcing of a part of the creative process to your own viewers. In theory people would have the be at least somewhat interesting to get selected in the first place: sort of how meme theory works, but on a smaller scale.
Potential cons:
1. Relying on viewers alone could be a pitfall. (I would limit it to a single segment, to see if is even enjoyable to watch as a viewer).
2. Planning. It would obviously take longer and more planning than simply sifting through KF threads for clips and other content.
3. Potential lack of participation from viewers. Potentially the biggest con, as I have no real way to gage how realistic this idea even is in the first place, and you would know much better than me if this is even feasible based on the amount of viewers.
