Ah... back to poetry again. Poetry doesn't always have to follow a distinct rhythm, but it helps to be consistent.
This poem implies that gender is something physical that can be taken away; it works for 'free will' or 'rights' but not for gender as it's vapid. The statement 'pry X from my cold dead hands' means you are not willing to give away something.

The second part mentions it's an idea that was carved into the world with fire. Albeit if this were anything else it'd be an OK line. But considering that the use of gender here is vapid and restrictive, who, exactly, are you harming with this idea?
Here's an example. Prometheus was condemned to an eternity of punishment for giving the knowledge of fire to mortals, which was reserved for the gods. The Gods wanted mortals to be in continued awe and worship of them; giving them the knowledge of fire was to carve their own fate, which the Gods did not want. So Prometheus was made an example of: 'You will not oppose us or this will be your fate'.

If it went like 'You will have to pry my free will from my cold dead hands, and all you will hold is an idea I carved into the world with fire' it would not be a bad poem. It has a concrete statement.

Again, 'gender' is just so vapid. What are you holding to it? What defines it?

Pink glitter? Skirts? Well we can do away with those. The point of imprinting an idea with fire is that it has lasting power. Troons continue to tell us that TERFs are evil and genocide is approaching, but all they have are sex stereotypes.

I used to mass swipe-right on Tinder a while ago and 1/10th of my matches were trannies. Many of them were hilarious troglodytes and I regret not screen capping them (come to think of it, I should pick up the habit again to get some content to post), but some of them I had to squint at for a few seconds to definitively clock them. If I weren't enlightened by my degree in transphobia from Kiwi Farms I probably wouldn't have detected some of them at all, but I was like, "this head-to-torso ratio isn't right " etc. And some of the east-asian ones still legit fool me to this day at least in photos.

There's a number of reasons why a normal person or even a transphobe with a kill-count in the billions might fail to clock a tranny:
*FaceApp is common now and not just among trannies
*basic photo-editing skills are also common nowadays. Fashion magazine-style editing of curves and proportions may be a thing
*rising obesity rates mean that you see a lot of indistinct potato people of both genders who can throw off your sense of what's normal if you look at them for too long (allegedly many parents of obese kids underestimate their kids' weight).
*increasing number of young trannies. Young men can cross-dress more successfully, again at least in photos
*A portion of mtf trannies were always gay men who are more likely to know how to do makeup and wear clothes, which is 90% of how you semi-succeed at it
(pro-tip for trannie lurkers: being on HRT for years helps 0% with passing so you may as well just cross-dress like drag queens and skip the debilitating drugs)

They also seem very confused about vaginas vs their surgical sites, which may also be genuine. Like maybe they basically have a reality-processing disorder that overlays a troon filter on top of everything they see?

Two: they may still be autists and AGPs (or weird FTMs obsessed with gay guys) but the central problem is that they are extremely online. They live fundamentally disembodied lives, disconnected from physical reality, their own bodies and surroundings, let alone physical contact with others. Their sexual and romantic interests are largely mediated through a screen, and through the avatars they choose for themselves, or through the fake internet personas of the other weirdos they're interested in (see: how many of these people have "partners" they've never met in real life). So maybe to them, the physicality of attraction doesn't make sense? They don't think "genital preferences" are valid because they operate as brains floating in tanks anyway?

IDK, that probably doesn't make any sense. I just find them so bizarre, I hope I outlive the troon menace and that our science survives this dark time so we can get some interesting research into what is wrong with their brains.
