This should be in no way shocking. A leftist will never say they're proud to be an American unless they're under duress or the president himself patted them on the back for their rainbow flag.

Somebody on the right is usually proud to be an American, but patriots at the moment have seen what they're being treated like by their federal government. If they're not a criminal right now, the feds seem intent on making them into criminals. A lot of them are more loyal to their states than they are to the federal government, which in my view is a good thing, and should begin to become the norm over time.
