I was unfortunate enough to have read the original edition, years ago, on a lark back when I was still a furry - Before the kero the wolf / zoosadism shit made me leave in disgust.@Roxanne Wolf,
I'm tossing you a book to review. It's the infamous The Furred Reich by none other than Casey Hoerth. The book is quite famous for its combination of fascism and human-anthro erotica. Don't let the novel form dissuade you from picking it for the thread, the author has kindly commissioned plenty of artwork from Russian artists that show off his fetish (because of course a neo-nazi wouldn't abide by their own principles). The book is about 200 pages long and best described as the ravings of a man who shouldn't be allowed near animals.

The entire thing was just packed full of furry erotic roleplays the dude did that he then edited to fit into the narrative and shitty, Ready Player One tier references to outdated popculture from the mid '00s.
Also one chapter was out of order from the others. Like, chapter 11 was between chapter 17 and 18.
3/10 wouldn't suggest the original edition and you couldn't pay me to read the updated one.

Incoming Perez Comic Discussion, Long.
Perez at the beginning draws a car wreck right after his self-intro. This is meant to be deep, I guess, but it is a perfect depiction of what he wants the story to be- a sympathetic wreck with him in the driver's seat.
The chapter where he is working a job and attempts to get himself fired has the exchange where The Boss specifically offers to give Perez a raise (to give Perez a cushion) until Boss can find a way to let Perez go in a way that won't wind up making him unemployable.
When it does happen ("budget cuts") Perez is now bitter about the agreed arrangement and lights up a smoke next to a container marked as flammable. He muses that He Deserves More and Other People are Bad. The final panel implies, with it's thick black smoke, that perez fucking sets his workplace on fire because of his internal tantrum.
Perez will now proceed to treat everyone in the remainder of the comic like he did his boss here.

My dude, Perez LITERALLY targets an insecure, "chubby" woman who he considers to have money, and walks the reader through how to force them into an immediate transactional relationship through a series of lies. And then gets pissy when he gets the chance to be a bigger whore and make more money because of Her Smaller and more Obvious lies.
Back to the comic: the dream sequence about Tom is weird af and full of typical male fantasy violence. Perez does not want help, and fantasizes about harming someone who offered only to have a performative self centered meltdown when having to think about his motivations and actions. Oh yeah, and then he cooms.
The Tom Flashback Storyline would be cute and almost wholesome if it wasn't Perez writing it for his coomer story. I really like the intro sketch to this chapter, with the "past" landscape behind Tom's current home.
Perez is a pretty decent tracer..? going by the cars . Actually drawing? Blob time.

Edna is the type of tranny Perez wishes he was. Stable job, loving partner with the power to allow social transistion safely, no reality delusion/coom brain/drug addiction, dresses modestly, passes well, and can set aside the female persona in pursuit of rational thought. No wonder Perez feels violent urges to hurt Tom emotionally and physically: Perez knows he will never be as pure and good-hearted as Edna and thinks that true redemption or critical thinking is a farce.
Scene shifting between coomers BS:
Ok, so: Weed Trap is an online whore. Perez is a gay IRL whore. Tom is paying a whore who looks nothing like Perez and Edna to have sex. Weed trap does not have to interact physically with anyone and is shown being sent $150. Perez is shown with a bubble butt for the first and only time. He gets fucked in the ass and likes it, because he is a homosexual male. He gets paid an undisclosed amount.
Finally, Tom has sex with the prostitute who looks nothing like Perez/Edna, and fantasies about Perez, then Perez and Edna. As Tom cooms, he is broken hearted. His little cartoon heart emoji is very deep. Only Perez and Weed Trap are shown to have enjoyed their sexual exploits.
Tom, probably realizing he would like to just take in and only have Perez for both their betterment as discussed ealier, tries to initiate contact.
Perez declines in order to call Weed Trap and bitch about not having the stability Tom would have offered him, and about not being able to AGP hard to satisfy his coom. Oh, and he suicide/death baits Weed Trap for emotional pity.
Similar to the scene with the trio-cocaine fucking chapter, I understand why it looks like gobblety-gook to a casual reader. The author is so dependent on the reader having a Tranny's Perspective on Sex and Life that he doesn't bother with real expression.

I want to curb stomp Perez at this point not unlike he fake stomps the imaginary car shop worker.
Rat person is not real and if they are they are ugly as sin. Homosexuals pretending to be women on drugs with satanic imagery on the wall. This is the happiest Perez has made his self insert look, and it's in a relationship that is based off of only sex, drugs, and literal devil worship. Jeez. I think Perez traces everything that is not a furry blob.
The chapter on food banks is more emotional pity bait. He comes back week after week, no job, no car, lying about how many people are in his household despite living a walkable, verifiable distance away from this food bank. He dislikes the patrons and staff, drawing them as people with the occasional "one of us" furry mixed in. He is sullen, hides his eyes with dark shades, and admittedly has the physique of a tweaker.
Perez, they don't dislike you because you're a troon, they dislike you because you appear to be a homicidal and violent prone drug user leeching off of their goodwill and not attempting to better your life. The staff and clients are ALL women, children, and old people, and they would like to not have you be their killer.

also, the single bear behind the counter of the last six panels for this chapter made me chuckle.
The ending is um.. interesting. Perez is still trying to emotionally manipulate his entire life into a sob story for pity. But as Roxanne notes in the OP, he cannot keep the reality of his poor choices and dickhead self from coming through. His roommates and "girlfriend" have gotten sick of him "writing" about how much he hates daddy and michigan. They are tired of his pity/suicide baiting, drug use, and refusal to get any sort of steady job. Me too, rat tranny (who's name is likely Astra according to Perez's phone logs). This is probably the 3rd time this week Perez has started talking about skulls and animal death.
Tom is the only one who has any battery left to try to help Perez, and Perez knows this. So he winds up at Tom's, only to be a massive dickhead because of COURSE Perez cannot stop obessing over sexual intercourse and how it is The Only Thing he can have with anyone. He also cannot resist the chance to beat down Tom for his Violation of Tranny Reality.
Poor fucking Tom.
Time for the final self pity fest. Apparently he had a stable job for a bit, though it is unclear if this is while he mooches off of Tom or if it is at the beginning where he is dating White Cat girl. He makes a woman's tragedy about himself, unable to handle a far more real emotional problem from a person with more achievement in life than him being "unconsentually" shared with him, despite having spent his entire adult life heaping his self-invented emotional problems on others unconsentually. He destroys a relationship because of this.
Either way, he makes the half realization that he is an addict who has so utterly ruined himself (he is missing a tooth in the panel with cashier) and the only way out of his sex addition is to live in his father's basement who is now the only living person he has not fucked and is too repulsed by Deer Shooting to have sexual thoughts about.
Does he de trans? Obviously not, based off the way he delights in making TSA workers uncomfortable. But he doesn't chimp out at Dad or the Cashier, so maybe he has made his peace with his gender being "male drug addict".
Of course, can't wrap this comic on self pity up without hurting Tom one more time, as OP points out.
I wonder if Perez likes Michigan and it feels "homely" because like all other AGPs, his other desire besides the raging coomerism is to be infantilized. I remember reading The Pervert after learning about how Stwawbewwymilk/Matt cited it as one of his main inspirations for his girldick art and it was boring as fuck. Interesting write-up.
Corrosion on the other hand completely undermines the themes of troon grooming with the sheer amount of furry porn which is a shame.
If I could nominate something, then I'd recommend Sparklecare Hospital. It's a furry ripoff of Awful Hospital that has eye-melting colours, a villain fulled by evil capitalism and all the patients are poor, oppressed LGBT+ minorities the outside world refuses to help.

As a pallette cleanser, I would like to suggest an actually good furry comic: Usagi Yojimbo.
Despite being a seminal piece of furry (and regular) comic canon, it is often overlooked. It has been running since the 80s and remains one of the highest quality comics to this day. Basically the comic is about the adventures of a wandering rabbit samurai. Despite almost everyone being an anthro, it has almost zero bearing in the story. The author also seems to be a pretty normal (also likely not a furry) guy with a wife and kids, which we know is pretty unusual for a furry comic author.

Thumbnail your pictures, bro. But thank you for the recommendation: the art looks well done and (hopefully) not horny. A good suggestion for book club, and something I will find a copy of to review.
Sparklecare has some really interesting history with the author basically having to write an apology for making villains LGBT and burned the original, more creative version of Sparklecare to the ground. Also, the team of writers is all proud troons/enbies. The trigger warnings are pathetically humorous. Dear god, my eyes though- I'll write a review when I can see solid shapes again. Also an excellent rec!
