YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

Max0r

I liked him for a brief period before I started to notice him telling the same jokes in multiple videos, using the same quips and generally lacking in comedic variety. Furthermore in his last couple of videos he's started to lose to the temptation of any popular Internet person to add their political opinions into their videos, it's subtle for the time being but it was not existent a few videos ago and I can see it becoming more frequent as time goes on. Finally, his editing style is so lightning fast while simultaneously using the same 5-6 effects that usually involve loud noises and saturating the screen that his videos are less funny and more headache enducing. I just think he got too popular too quickly and has fallen into a video style that makes him a lesser version than what he could have been.
Yeah, I liked a few of his videos but the editing has got crazier and just "too much" for the lack of a better term. I liked the DMC 5, Doom Eternal, Control, and Bloodborne, MGS ones but I know other people who found those unbearable to watch which I completely understand.

However, I just watched the newest Elden Ring one. Recycled jokes, far too much going on and it's too noisy.

I also noticed that he keeps commenting on his old videos saying "Hey guys, this is an old video of mine the editing is really bad, my new stuff is much better!" I don't know much about how YouTube works but is he trying to do something with the algorithm?Under each comment he makes are thousands of comments saying he's wrong and this is amazing.

I'm pretty sure he's just an insecure creative who isn't happy unless he feels like he's constantly improving, the problem is that improvement in his eyes is just faster and crazier editing with less and less regard for how the editing and jokes work together to make a good video, each video feels less and less thought out. He is, as far as my educated guess goes, allowing his own insecurities to ruin his ability to make good content.

Reactions: Lunatic Fringe
Was never huge on JelloApocalypse. His "Vote" video from 2018 was peak virtue-signaling, and his humor feels like it should've died out 10 years ago. All of his, "So this is basically..." videos are filled with the most surface level jokes and LE QUIRKY RANDOM humor.

Something about Critical Role annoys me. Maybe it's because I will never get into DnD or anything DnD-adjacent, but as someone mentioned earlier, it has that... nerdy, obnoxious, theatre kid humor. At least there are some legit good VA's in it.

I brought him up last year in the Youtube Autism thread, but william osman is still someone i heavily dislike, from doxxing a guy , catfishing him , and then confronting him after possibly commiting a crime by making him sign a contract under false pre-tenses, to then a few weeks later making a pity party video about how upset it makes him to be called a faggot on youtube.com, its honestly a miracle the guy isnt shat on more. Also hes friends with idubbz too, 0/10 awful human now face the wall.

The Salt Factory:
His extremely annoying voice, which exactly mimics the phrase "Um Ackchually!" and his pointless, lengthy videos that add nothing to the discussion, are both intolerable to me. The weird thing is that his voice was much less annoying in his older videos than it is in his new ones.

The Closer Look:
Somehow, this man's voice is even more annoying than The Salt Factory's. To torture your ears, view one of his videos.

Moon:
His clickbait videos feature nihilistic doomer fearmongering and have overly dramatic editing. He attempts to make his videos as some brilliant commentary on the modern world. Despite his best efforts, his videos come off as the ramblings of some wacko conspiracy theorist screaming that the end is near. The worst thing is that people seemlessly agree with the claims he makes in the videos, which the only proof he provides of his claims is "dude trust me lmao." Strangely, despite the fact that he can heavily edit his videos, he doesn't even list the source links of the topic in the description in the majority of his videos. He also gives off the impression to me of being a typical incel.

It doesn't help that he can't even double check his videos before uploading them, it's absolutely distracting.

MamaMax - Mainly because of how he present his videos. I find his edgy teen shit to be unpleasant, it's just so obnoxious. It doesn't help that the dude did that stupid pickaside hashtag on Twitter.

Dead Meat - I despise YouTubers who put politics into their video, and the guy who runs the channel often does that. I do (rarely) still watch his videos because he actually dives into the film, like the production and stuff.

h3h3 - Dumb takes, will side with anyone that is against KeemStar, and I mean ANYONE! He will also use anything against KeemStar, even information that is blatantly bullshit. He also has a horse wife.

Idubbbz - Used to respect the dude, until he became a cuck.

To be more general:
Storytime YouTubers - I hate it when literally most of them have the same experience in life, especially in Highschool, like take a shot whenever they say that they didn't had any friends in school and were lonely. I highly doubt most Storytime youtubers actually didn't had any friends in school and were just bullshitting to their viewers so their audience can relate to them.

Virtual YouTubers - I hate them. They're literally just e-girls, but anime. They have nothing going for them except for the fact that they're virtual youtubers. Most of them suck at gaming and all of them scream like a banshee and do those lewd jokes that make weeaboos go "AH MA GAD A KAWAII ANIME GIRL MADE A DIRTY JOKE".

I'm still shocked that no YouTuber called him out on that shit, how the fuck did he get away with that? He even brought on top streamers/whatever else bugmen in his pity party video like Ludwig, all over the most harmless negative comment. Didn't he also receive a shit load of money from people when his house burnt down to buy a new one, but proceeded to stay in an RV for a whole year?

And for the thread: Joshua Weissman
I was looking up cheap cooking vids cause of the way the economy is going, and I decided to watch some of his videos on cheap recipes, but holy shit if this isn't some of the most obnoxious and painfully unfunny shit I've watched.
There's other examples but this is just one, he's so damn cringe. Also clickbait with the titles, he says $1 mac n cheese but it's really $1 serving, not the whole thing, and doesn't even give a total price of all the ingredients from the store.

In the virtual youtuber sphere, I hate the clipper channels that use extremely obnoxious editing, specifically the oversaturation of meme noises and sound effects. Video editors for the clips on the vtuber's own Youtube channels like to do this shit too. Who the fuck thinks it's funny to hear vine booms every 3 seconds? Or laugh at a constant barrage of jump-cuts and overlays? Who the fuck asked for stupid interruptions with tenor gifs when the streamer says some cringe shit?

I know this isn't specific to vtuber clips either, what possesses editors to dump so much useless unfunny meme shit into videos like this? Do zoomers eat that shit up or something?

Unfortunately his overediting waters down the musical cuts, which is where he really shines. They don’t stand out anymore when he’s using the same effects and fast paced editing through the entire video.

Some of Moon's videos might start out alright, but then it immediately turns into doomer/incel/conspiracy theorist babble. I saw his Twitch video and when he got to the point where he mentioned FerociouslySteph, or whatever their name is, I just thought to myself, "Dude, that's OLD news. You're two years too late." Who the fuck cares? Plus they don't have any REAL power at Twitch.

If we're going off of popularity based on video views, then I have to say:

SSSniperwolf

I'm really confused as to how this person gets tens of millions of views on their videos. I couldn't stand to watch more than a few seconds of her screeching voice and fake personality. If the obvious plastic surgery wasn't enough, then of course people would recognize the ridiculousness and banality of them watching some e-thot watch videos? That's all it is, right? Am I missing something here?

Is that where we are now? So lazy that we cant go find interesting content to watch on our own and so miserable in our lives that we feel the need to watch some other manufactured miserable person watch the content that was prepared for them by some team? Her acting ability is so awful, she can't even pretend to be interested in the tiktok crap she's forced to watch to collect millions of dollars.

I've read through her thread here and nothing in there surprises me. I honestly can't stand that youtube feels the need to shill her shit videos to me everyday. The algorithm sucks.

Virtual YouTubers
Couldn't agree more. Anime was already a mistake, this added layer of cancer just makes it worse.

With Moon, there are at least few things I agree with. However, everything else he's been saying is just pathetic eye-rolling InfoWars-style doomer/incel conspiracy theory bullshit at its worst that it's just agonizing. Thank fucking christ I unsub from this guy.

It's safe to assume that almost all their stories are either totally fake or at least greatly exaggerated. Like these people really will claim to have sitcom-like adventures dozens of times in their lives.

These being on the trending page is what killed YouTube back in 2017 (along with news, talk show hosts and shitty movie or game trailers among things, even though they happened two years earlier, but my point remains that 2017 was absolutely the worst year ever).

Wasn't that supposed to be some scammer or someone that stole one of his designs? I don't know the context of this outside of my vague memory of his own video.

He is absolutely zoomertier cringe. I have to say though, I made his General Tso chicken and it was pretty good. However, I just hate all the retarded editing in his vids and repeating words in autotune or whatever for no fucking reason. He is a decent cook, he just needs to drop all the fucking gimmicks. It is very similar to what fitness vloggers did back maybe 4-5 years ago when 10k calorie challenges were all the rage. Same music, same cuts, etc.

Oxhorn:

The guy makes Fallout lore/exploration videos. Each one is about a different vault, character, faction, settlement, etc. He's not bad at it, he makes a new video almost every day. He has a tendency to overanalyze and overthink things that are completely unimportant, while completely missing things that should be obvious. Or taking random things literally that obviously aren't meant to be. All of that's fine though, everyone does goofy shit. He's good at what he does.

This probably sounds dumb, but the thing that bugs me is the guy's voice. I imagine it's just his normal way of speaking, but it sounds like he's attempting a Paul Lynde impression the entire time. I like Paul Lynde, but there's a reason he was a great comic relief bit character. He's just not someone you'd be able to listen to for long periods. Like an audiobook or something.

The worst part is that he's only got two voice modes, normal speaking, and Lynde-esque sarcasm. And that comes out no matter what emotion he's trying to add. Surprise, sadness, mystery, whatever feeling he's trying to convey, it all just sounds like Lynde being snarky and it's just weird and off-putting.

It's one of those things where once you hear it, you'll never be able to un-hear it.
