So many people own amazon devices. I don't because I don't feel like everything I do being listened in on, but I've had neighbours that did. I dunno if using a payphone with gloves on at night time with no cameras and not using your regular voice is enough. Google already uses its location services for 'geo warrants' when a crime happens. Amazon has speech recognition databases that include people who don't own an alexa or whatever the fuck but are picked up by their neighbours. Facebook sells its facial recognition data it gets from people tagging you in photos to security companies. Etc.

If Fatrick is telling the truth about what police officers told him about why they showed up, this jives almost exactly with the methods of the so-far yet to be caught swatter that's been rampaging for the last few months through multiple communities, specifically they use a google voice number to either text or send an robovoice call to the local cops saying something to the tune of "I'm (name) and I just shot my wife" or some similar phrasing of that message. I'm assuming VPNs are involved or they'd be caught already.

Of course this may seem like the most obvious way to swat someone, but that in and of itself can be a bit of a fingerprint so to speak.

Off the top of my head, this method has been tried on Hamblyburger, Rackets, Dick, and Tim Pool, I'm sure there's more because I only hear about this stuff when it comes up in sekturs that I pay any attention to.

Thing is, of all these names I can think of, Fatrick is the only one that's a little strange. The others are marginally successful public figures at the very least, and most importantly they are livestreamers, which for the longest time seemed to be the MO for how the targets were picked. Fatrick is none of those things.
