Since the Iowa caucus, I've decided to release Richards old statements of voting that was from the Romney/Obama election. Apparently to Richard, voting doesn't make a difference as they are two evils. However, when Obama won, Richard somehow is overwhelmed with joy and somehow believes that this election was the battle between "common sense and religion." He literally believes that Romney would send everything back to the 60s if he somehow won the election and felt it would be nice to discuss/debate politics at Disneyland with his friend. As a result Richard didn't go with anyone to Disneyland.

I've got a couple of theories as to why this happens.
The Romans actually were known for their decadence, including orgies. Things like bestiality, BSDM, urination play, etc did take place. Probably also a good deal of pedophilia. I know pedophiles like to defend themselves sometimes by claiming that Greeks and Romans thought it was totally okay for an older man to initiate a young boy into manhood by having sex with him. You also hear about nobility like Catherine the Great having sex with horses or other animals (I'm presuming peasants were too busy making a living to be bothered trying to fuck their livestock). So fetishes have existed for a while.
Your point about Uruguay or Republic of Congo probably has to do with the fact that A) I don't think being open and expressive about sexual fetishes is as okay in other regions/countries as it is here in the good U.S. of A. (and some other first-world countries too). In America, certain groups of people are so damn focused on being "special" and pushing "edgy" non-normal behavior on people that some people won't hesitate to tell anyone they meet that they enjoy masturbating to cartoon ponies or that they love to poop themselves. Although they argue that "not allowing people to express their sexuality/gender/fetishes is oppressive", one has to wonder whether or not demanding fetishes be kept under wraps is a good idea. B), since fetishes are not as openly expressed, maybe people aren't having the chance to experience them and see if they like them or not. Maybe someone can be turned on by being flapped in the face repeatedly with a dolphin tail, but they don't know it until a dolphin bitch-slaps them one day at Seaworld. Unless, that is, some fuck online posts a huge blog about his love affair with Flipper's ass, and they start thinking "Gee, that sounds sexy!" Chris Pratt had to get slapped in the face during Parks and Recreation filming, and much to his surprise he got an erection from it. So maybe the reason sexual fetishes aren't as common in certain areas is because fetishes aren't openly expressed, meaning that people aren't even aware they exist as a sexual possibility. and therefore aren't aware that they might be turned on by it too.
