It's a wealth tax, like the proposed tax on unrealised income from shares and assets a while back. You pay a percentage of the value of what you own, even if your actual income is proportionally tiny.
That cannot be a sustainable system. That's a planned economic policy that implies that people within a threshold of 21B are going to reliably have that money to pay off that 10% tax rate to fund a UBI of $1,000 to american citizens. Those same businesses, or individuals, are going to eventually run out of that money and the threshold tax is going to reduce itself legally meaning that a company is going to eventually be in the 2% or 4% threshold instead which is not going to be enough to fund millions of americans with UBI. Even then, what's legally stopping these companies from offshoring their accounts to foreign banks and declaring themselves in the million threshold?

There is also nothing stopping Trump from changing residency before the election like Cheney did in 2000. Barnes pretty much believes Trump/DeSantis is a done deal and Barris believes he knows who told Barnes.

If such a ticket were looking like a possibility then it would indeed be trivial for Trump to change his residence to anywhere he wanted. Florida simply can't be risked by some Democrat legal malfeasance.

Janet Yellen has a global tax plan they're trying to push, iirc. I haven't seen anything formal, just mentions in various mainstream articles. Coming from the same masterminds that want to implement a global cap on Russian oil prices.

edit:
NPR: Yellen believes U.S. will get on board with global minimum corporate tax — eventually

Having less to eat is a good thing!
Marte has had to increase prices on everything from sugar to potato chips -- and the cost of his bacon, egg and cheese sandwich is up from $2.50 to $4.50.
Frances Rice, who stopped by Marte’s bodega for a bacon, egg and cheese, says she’s trying to work out how to cope with less slack in her budget as prices rise. She says there’s always a silver lining.

“It means that I buy a good breakfast and stretch it to lunch and don’t eat again until I get home, which means I lose weight,” she said. “Got to look at the brighter side of things, because you know what? Either way, if you got to move, you’ve got to pay. If you’re hungry, you have to eat.”

>we're actually on full-on commie word games and denial of reality because the Central Committee Adults in the Room™️ have decreed it

I mean I know they can't go full commie because they lack the ability to broadly use force to enact their will, but they'll probably seize whatever assets they can and use law enforcement to the best of their ability. Still this is depressing as when my Grandmother told me about how FDR trampled on rights and people cheered because the papers said there were jobs.

Also, https://www.foxnews.com/media/nick-sandmann-media-libel-lawsuits-dismissed-federal-judge I'd archive, but I'm being a lazy piece of shit.

Its not supposed to be. Not because of some master dystopian conspiracy to make everyone poor and dependent on handouts that are small enough to keep everyone too weak to do anything about it - But because extractive policies are always ultimately destructive, and there's no non-extractive way to do what they want to do, which is make the rich the new legal piggybank of the government. Once they're dry, they'll come after corporation wealth or the like.

This reassures me that the last message that will broadcast on Earth is "Nuclear missiles may be flying everywhere, but the thought that we are heading to nuclear annihilation is crazy!"
"The definition of nuclear war is every city getting nuked by Russia. Since it is us who nuked only insurrectionist flyover cities for the good of Our Democracy, we did not commit nuclear war on our own citizens."

With talks of taxes and shit, here's a rhetorical question. Why don't they copy their favorite commie infested neighbor Canada and work to get a tax on homes/apartments/condos with no recent residency? I mean I don't think most people would be against that since most people don't own multiple houses and frankly having houses just sit around with nobody in them is very cuntish behavior. The tax would theoretically lower rent prices since some owners may decide it's better to rent out to whatever the people in the area can reasonably afford just to avoid the tax.

The answer is because congresscritters need their beach house on every beach in the land.

I've mentioned this before: Michelle Obama is a shifty, lazy ass darkie who had a notorious reputation in Chicago as an affirmative action token for hire, who got work in Chicago basically by way of major white dominated needing a high profile token and the local race baiters sending a list of politically connected blacks to be given do nothing jobs where they read magazines and play on the internet all day while the white employees do their work and Michelle's work and have to STFU because criticizing her being a do nothing parasite drawing a paycheck for nothing would be seen as racist.

Also, Michelle came out of the experience of being First Lady a racist cunt who's hatred for white people went from "stupid ass crackers, I'm better than them!" snobbery to "Genocide those white fuckers! Kill them! Kill them all! " Hitler-esque hate mongering; to the point that, in a bit of self-awareness, she realized she couldn't fake it and hide her desire to final solution murder every white person in the US if she were to run for office as far as barely able to conceal her hatred for white men and women.
It doesn't matter who she is or what she's done. It matters that her name is Michelle Obama. The American public is so overwhelmingly stupid that you could change your name to Michelle Obama and win the Dem primary without showing up or spending a cent. All you'd need is to get in the ballot and you'd cinch it.
