One of those crazy "melanite" people that believe black people are magical star beings and white people are non-human demons from outer space or the demon realm (it varies but she has admitted she doesn't know for sure where white people are really from).

Her entire belief system comes from this book, as well as a few movies such as A Cabin in the Woods, and They Live.

Every now and again, she'll make blog posts sending messages to white people, or even other races that are neither black nor white warning us all of our inevitable demise.

She's also quite the conspiracy theorist.

Beauty fads for hair are made to destroy black people's hair which is some sort of radio antenna that detects god?

She honestly is reasonably intelligent but I'm pretty sure she's a diagnosed schizophrenic. She used to talk about how the doctors were telling her she was mentally ill but the REAL mental illness was her not accepting that white people are literally demons in direct opposition to the Sun Goddess and her chosen melonites. She had just been brainwashed by the tel-lie-vision to deny the Hueman's rightful place.

Bitch be cray cray. What I've gotten from her is she's been reading a lot of, I want to say Malcolm X but I'm not 100% sure of the source. In any case it's a bunch of books put out where they dissect English to give you it's "true" meaning. For example how the word "white" is defined as being clean or pure and "black" is defined as being evil or stained. She goes on about how you use a relaxer on your nappy head to relax your hair. So if it's relaxed now then it was all tense and wound up before and this is what white folk want you to think about yourself blah blah blah.

This is some of my favorite type of word play in part because it plays on those with little understanding of language. In the end while language is a tool, the parts of it namely words are simply there to convey meaning. It's how you interpret that meaning that is completely up to you.

While I do agree with you that crazy =/= dumb, articulate =/= intelligent either.

There are plenty of complete morons, that know how to write well... there are many intelligent people who lock-up when in public, and thus are not good orators, etc.

There is also the question of, to what degree, one's worldview differs from another. Creationists, for example, are not all idiots. BUT! Their worldview is predicated on a willful ignorance of the things everyone else accepts as fact.

In this case, "TruthBeTold" might be a pretty smart person, and might even be a good writer... but their view of the world around them is completely warped. Worse, it is a worldview that limits her compassion ("all white people are demons") as well as her analysis.

I doubt she's reading this, but to answer her question, all of the slave ships are likely at the bottom of the sea. There are very few vessels from the 1700s surviving today, most of the old-timey sailing ships you DO see are replicas. Back then sailors were more likely to wreck their ships, or governments would intentionally sink them once they were too old and decrepit to still be useful. When the exchange of foreign slaves became illegal in the U.S. (some fifty or so years before the civil war), slavers probably lost a lot of business and had to sell or scrap their ships.

IDK what she thinks the alternative is though. Black people were in the Americas before white people? Yeah, I'm sure the Native Americans will be happy to hear people pushing that narrative.

The actual number would be far higher if I hadn't been charitable with the numbers, but even then this is an impressive number for a largely commoditised industry. I can see why some argue that sanitary products should be provided by the state! With these costs, free bleeding may be necessary for a young woman who otherwise couldn't afford rent or college.

At around $10 for a box of 50 tampons, this'd mean on average that each woman would be buying 42 boxes per month, giving them each 2083 tampons per month. My understanding is that a single box (50 tampons) would ordinarily last 1-2 months. What are they using these tampons for? Plugging holes in dams? Insulating their homes?

Yanno, she also seems to believe that actual Africans in Africa think the same way as her. The ones I've met think absolutely nothing of white people, because they have no history with them. There's no "Your ancestors enslaved mine!" mentality, or "You owe me something because of my race". Just, "Hello, foreigner!"

This crazy "magic people of color" bullshit seems to be exclusive to African Americans or African Europeans.
