As many people have said, no you are wrong. Why would there be an "autopsy"? (We call them post-mortems in the UK.) There will be any number of doctors at the hospital who will be willing to put the cause of death on the death certificate
If there is an unexpected death, the doctors cannot legally sign a death certificate as the whole role of referring to the Coroner is for THEM to decide the cause of death.
And as others have pointed out, this process is VERY different to the US - a specialist Forensic Pathologist (Doctor) will undertake the examination and document findings, and it will be reviewed by the Coroner's Court (Legal). It's not just Some Dude who got elected (see this video from This Week Tonight that explains yet another reason the US is so fucking mental).
The Forensic Pathologists will likely only do an external examination of Archie's body as he's had multiple scans done they can refer to, but he will still very much be referred to the them as a legal requirement.
Please don't post shit you don't know about with such conviction, it just makes you look stupid.
After the June hearing where the Justice declared him officially dead as of 31 May, the hospital said they wouldn't do anything until the family had decided to appeal (despite probably not having to legally do so, maybe?).This could get messy. They're asking the trust to hold off. The trust are under no legal obligation to do so.
I dare say they'll give her a little bit of leeway but it must be so tense in that PICU.
