Found this on an anti-Ina thread. @Takodachi as the resident Tako, can you verify this? If you don't have it on hand, don't worry about hunting for it. It's only mildly interesting. Koreans being casually racist is about as unique as the sky is blue.

Didnt want to talk about the other accounts but yes.
She also said Americans are filthy mutts who she wish would stay away from the JP hobbies because they shit up the place, and that Pearl Harbor was justified.

can someone help me understand why is it so hard for corporate vtubers to get permissions to do anything on stream, when regular streamers/indie vtubers can do what ever they want? i would think both would face the same ramifications wouldnt they? wouldnt a regular streamer even face harder consequences?
Cover plays by corporate JP rules which seems to make it easy for right holders to take action. Most games the girls play seem to be coming out of Japan. I can google Cover corps address to have my lawyer send them a letter if I need to Vs random streamer on twitch who might not even be in my legal jurisdiction.or whatever.

I do think Cover are too cautious with permissions for non-JP games. My theory is that there's a Cover internal rule that you're only allowed to play a non-sponsored game if everyone else can play the game. Call it fairness or whatever. This might hamstring the EN girls because EN publishers tend to be more lenient with permissions while JP publishers might be harder to work with. There's also the issue of what counts as permissions, didn't Selen take a screenshot of a publisher that replied to her tweet and it counted as green light? If Cover are sending out contracts I can imagine people taking one look and going "nah I'm not signing anything".

I mean you say that yet Tempus is in the best position in Holostars history and Noir gets extremely consistent views for his morning zatsudan. This is new territory so anything can happen.
yeah i hope so,but again its nothing new for people to not be optimistic about stars, including starsEN,not because they are not great,no they are really great, but they are the niche from the reguler male vtuber, atleast for now.
gura is not really on twitter anyway. i dont think alot of the girls are actually that interested in collabing with the boys. but i feel like a collab with dezmond and gura would be hilarious.

also flipping back forth from the girls stream and the dudes streams theyre just different vibes. looking at the girls streams feels very much like a girls club.

edit: thinking about it: maybe being an all girls group helps them be themselves? same thing with the boys
many people called hololive"idol" or even "gfe for gachikoi" when its only rushia that truly GFE,the truth is holo is like K-ON,cute girls doing cute things,it doesn't necessarily yuri/lesbian,its just girl being girl, not just cute sometime the crazy part of them.

The tl;Dr is that Japanese devs are absolutely anal about copyrights so if you are under a agency you need a written permits with their guidelines about monetizing the streams where you play their games

Western devs in the other hand don't give a fuck and encourage Holos to play their games to the point of simping , there is a reason people joke about Devolver Digital being Bodans

to add onto what some others have said about Corporate Vtuber vs "regular streamer"

In a lot of cases being corporate means you play by an entirely different set of rules, many of the more open streaming policies will include a mention that it applies to individual streamers and not corporate entities.

To provide an example, this is from SEGA's Japanese site for their streaming guidelines in Japan

"法人(芸能事務所・プロダクション等所属の個人、法人と契約して動画配信をしている個人を含みます)が動画を配信する場合はこの限りではありません。ビジネス目的での使用を希望される場合は当社へご連絡ください。"

Machine translation: "This does not apply when a corporation (including an individual affiliated with an entertainment agency, production, etc., or an individual who contracts with a corporation to distribute videos) distributes the video. Please contact us if you wish to use it for business purposes."

places like Hololive and Nijisanji have to jump through additional hoops to get permissions because these types of distinctions between individual streamer and corporate entity are not uncommon in Japan. And with Capcom at one point nearly killing Mio's channel in a single day hitting her with 2 copyright claims at once, Hololive is understandably cautious and still seeks out proper permissions even in cases where it might not be necessary.

Let me share this mental illness with you 1659045567915.png1659045583485.png

Different fair use guidelines for individuals and corporations

And even among corporations, Hololive is a special case - if Nijisanji for example is not given express permission to stream, they just stream with monetization turned off and everybody's okay with it.

It has something to do with Hololive exploding in popularity around 2020 and Capcom specifically targetting them with copyright strikes so that they would be "taught a lesson and get permissions always" which resulted in hundreds of videos of Capcom games being deleted and a few channels under Hololive almost being terminated due to racking up copyright strikes

And because of that, Hololive is almost anal about being getting permissions because they don't want this to happen again

I got no racist Ina posts (don't think they exist) but an update on her office situation

Ina mentioned the continuation of her ISP problems at the end of her last Elden Ring stream a few days ago. She said she'd been calling them to set up the internet and they'd been giving her the run around, sending her to a bunch of different departments.

Japan is so paranoid about copyright, streamers even have to get permissions from mod creators, not just the game developers. In the West, it's seen as free advertising to play a game stream. In Japan, it's seen as dishonorable if you don't specifically have written permission. So much of their culture is all about having the biggest possible stick up your ass about the dumbest of things. No wonder karoshi is such a prevalent cause of death there.

Millie and Enna did an Original Song 'Pull for Your Heart' with CR Hime for the expo next week. It airs on the same day they'll be doing meet-and-greets at Otakuthon so they'll literally be in two cons at once.

Also, Animate Cafe showed off what their NijisanjiEN collab looks like in terms of merch and food and I really like the attention to detail.

For example, the top left dish has the rice polar bear that Selen made during one of her Bento streams. The Big PP Energy drink speaks for itself, but the one below it is called 'Misoshiro Toast' which is a reference to Reimu, Noah, and Ex Albio's team name during the V-Saikyo APEX tournament.

You know we have a thread in Community Watch that covers the retarded things that is posted on /vt/, right?
I encourage you (and everyone else here, to be honest) to post their stupidity there.
Thank you.

So I just had an uncomfortable thought.

With much of the developed world seemingly heading into some tight economic times, some even a recession, what are the odds were going to start seeing more "graduations" or even outright collapses of smaller corps?

We've never had a full blown global recession at the same time that tips and donos based video streamers were even a thing, but historically, fringe entertainment venues don't fair well during economic downturns.

Sorry for the uncomfortable thoughts I'm just doomin

Pearl Harbor was only justified if she wanted her country to get nuked and turned into entertainment for said mutts.

I can see why she'd want them away from JP hobbies though, especially the obnoxious woke army.

Phase Connect caused the global recession so their rivals can crumble and they can absorb even more sad girls into the League of Legends cabal

On a serious note, im guessing the smart companies will have a plan to weather the storm but im going to guess when vtubing finally starts going down after its peak is when a fuckton of places will fold

lol calm down and step away from the cliffside.

I highly doubt it's hololive since multiple talents have boyfriends, possibly husbands and some have kids. It's most likely a mix of factors where men are generally dropping out of relationships but even if they weren't I think even the Japanese know to never stick your dick in crazy.Even if you ignore the sex worker element which is a huge red flag, the smashing her keyboard because she used the wrong name makes me think she has serious anger issues. Oh and how the fuck are people her age supposed to socialize when most of them are either at work or spending their free time online? It's not just Japan, but the internet in general has tanked adult dating where you just don't see as many people out these days.
I'm not saying they're contractually banned from it or anything, but with how much backlash they can get from audience if there's a suspected male presence it's definitely something they'd want to try to actively avoid dealing with. We lost Rushia because she dared interact with a man, as dumb as the avenues she took, and fumbled the recovery which exposed a number of indiscretions she made against Cover either prior or in the aftermath. I doubt anyone else would go as full retard, but that entire episode would probably be a good reminder of the worst that could happen if they're "caught".

I'm just hoping nothing goes too bad for Noel/Canan overall. Whether it's all an act or she's genuinely having a rough time shouldn't preclude her from being happy, and having emotional problems while being a sex workers is an easy entrance to a slippery slide.
