Any major podcast or longform content creator NOT running their own clipping channel is just leaving money on the table. I’d argue this even extends to major TV/movie studios. A sizable segment of Youtube is just people uploading 30 second clips of funny lines from a show or a cool fight scene from a movie or anime with zero alterations. This content is neither a replacement for the original IP, nor can it be substituted BY the original, because sometimes people just want to watch that short clip, either to watch themselves to laugh again or to show their friends.

They've been doing a regular podcast for like half a year. I think only the first ten or so had any of the wiggers on. Sam does merch, but he's obviously bad at logistics, keeps getting kicked off of selling platforms, and wants to use high quality materials and printing. I don't think closing down other clip channels will matter for expanding, there will still be clips anyways, and MDE has always made it hard to find their stuff. The main problem is that after the cancellation their aspirations of making it big in conventional media were dashed and their output became angrier and gloomier. This is why the podcasts with Nick have been fan favorites, besides being uniquely funny, he pulls Sam out of the ranting, advicetubing mindset.
