Agreed, while we don't have the exact dates of everything, the mention of Western State gives us a general idea of the timeline - 'from ILPPP' I assume is around the end of Feb/Early March as that was when Chris was transferred, likewise 'From Western State' would be when he was rebooked on which we have a solid date (which I forgot off the top of my head).
Within that section is "For Treatment of Incompete" which obviously is 'treatment of incompetence'.
As such, I'm wondering if the events of late February from the final Spamton letter, where he mentioned he was getting out
period, was simply Chris
completely misunderstanding what was going on and misinterpreted being told he was being released from the
prison. He may have even been flat out told he was going to a mental ward, but given his experience previously Chris could have easily seen that as being those ineffective therapy sessions he had to drive himself to in the aftermath of the macing and otherwise he was home free again.
I've seen people bringing up the recent letters where Chris talks about how he's going to be back home soon as an indicator that there was some sort of plea that's off the table now - you know, the same letters where he says he's the reincarnation of Jesus and some kind of CPU goddess or whatever? He's been talking about how he will be released since the very first letters were posted. I question if it's even worth speculating about this motherfucker, because I'm pretty sure about a year ago practically everybody was taken by absolute surprise that he fucked his mom.
I see that more as evidence Chris seriously doesn't understand the level of
fucked he's been in the whole time, worsened by how his last two brushes with the judicial system left him with nothing but essentially a slap on the wrist and required psychiatric exams that were nothing but a waste of time.
The idea Chris turned down one or more plea deals is borne from looking at both the situation as well as understanding Chris better than Chris himself - namely, it's likely that there's plenty of evidence that a plea deal would have been offered to just skip the whole process and let everyone get on with their lives, but Chris wouldn't cooperate because he isn't being treated like a special snowflake this time and would have to actually suffer grave consequences both in real terms
and what would be unthinkable in his own terms I.E. never seeing his mother again. The reason it's taken a whole year is probably a combination of Chris being uncooperative as well as maneuvering by his lawyer to try and burn time served for a more lenient sentence, which ultimately has not worked. Though at the same time, keeping Chris locked up ensured he couldn't get himself into more trouble since he did also steal money from Barb's account, thus ensuring Chris couldn't make the lawyer's life even harder if nothing else.
Is every member of the jury going to buy into it? Probably not, but Chris’s defense doesn’t need that. They just need to stack these on top and throw enough doubt dust in the air to move a few of them away from beyond a reasonable doubt.
I'd say the fact Chris bought that book about having sex with old people is pretty damning evidence in of itself.
