Look, there is no shame in it. Trump rubs -me- the wrong way often enough with his speech. But calling it the "China Virus" is to remind people that it did come from China, and China absolutely refuses to acknowledge it at all. That is all. And so long as China refuses to, keeping the spotlight on it so it cannot be memory holed is actually important.

This opens her up to reporters asking her if she's a Chinese asset. It certainly doesn't look good when the 3rd in command is taking barking orders from an adversarial nation. They won't ask her questions like that, obviously. Just pointing out that it does.

In a sane world her and Milley would have been hauled in front of a court the moment they admitted they subverted civilian control of the military (in theory at least, since the president is elected and has executive control over things like nuke codes etc, the military can be said to be under civilian control), Nancy by seeking control of nuke codes and Milley telling China he'd give them the preemptive advantage.
The fact that they weren't, even under a Dem president, is a sign of just how far things have fallen. Back in the day even a Democrat would have been able to see the inherent danger in underlings who have no issue biting the hand that feeds and betraying the nation, because people like that are unscrupulous and will betray anyone.

I refer to it as the China virus sometimes. More commonly, I'll call it the "Kung Flu." I do anything I can to belittle the virus because it isn't the population destroying plague our overlords would demand us believe it is.

His point was that the empiricism of the enlightenment would destroy faith, and it did. People demand evidence, not even realizing that you need faith that the evidence is genuine. And now there's different evidence all over and therefore different faith. And no longer are cultures united by faith, but divided and scattered by it. Hell, I can't even explain to my own family members how it's medically impossible to choke someone to death by putting a knee on the base of their neck...
