We also know she thinks playing chicken with us trying to figure out which are hers makes her a mastermind, so I don't give it too much thought.

About the fact that she's still using the same discord account, she is addicted to discord and can't get off it. If she deletes her discord, all of the anime servers she's part of and her "artwork" will be gone, so she would never do that

The AllSeeingDevil account looks especially sus with how it's primarily replying to the Maxine account, and following these two other accounts. Correct me if I'm wrong too, but the avatar looks suspiciously like the avatar of the Infinite Janke YouTube channel.

If they don't have a better source for the recording, they're going to need to establish a foundation for it. Or they might not even be able to use it at all, in which case they probably have something better like a confession. A chain of custody that goes through a pathological liar and was clearly edited in some way doesn't have a real foundation.

I would reckon that much as with Nick Bate, they're going to want as little in the way of distracting Internet stuff as they can get. Heilberg's public statements about the case indicate that may be exactly what he wants, although this recording is probably not something he wants in.

If they have a confession from the perp and physical evidence, they might not actually want a recording that can be discredited by claiming (truthfully or not) that it's a fake. They may also have already twisted Isabelle's arm (maybe through her dad) to get the original.

If they do want it in, though, in addition to the foundational issues, it's also hearsay, and while Chris's statements are probably adverse admissions (in this case admissions tending to establish guilt or contradicting claims of innocence), but stuff Isabelle said is also incriminating and probably itself inadmissible without her available to testify.

And it's also possible they either got Chris to confirm this recording was him, or just got him to confirm what was in it so they don't have to use such a questionable piece of evidence.

I agree that if the cops were able to get a confession, then they don't need the recording.

If they don't, the recording is the best confession that they have. Yes, it's been edited, but forensic examination should be easily able to spot the edits. What would be required is commanding Bella to appear to testify on the authenticity of the call.

She could also be commanded to produce the entire recording, if it still exists, though it's possible that there's something in it that would cause 5th amendment issues, and Virginia can't give her immunity for anything outside of Virginia.

They could command her to work with an attorney to edit it to only the relevant portions, and then the attorney (with her authorization) could testify that the edits were in compliance of what was asked, and attorney/client privilege would protect the rest.

My guess though is that there's nothing criminal on her part in the call, and she just edited out parts that made her look like a cunt (and she failed at that).

One of the issues with the edit is that the full recording was never actually fully leaked, and was potentially hours long.

I'd still love to see the full edition, but aye- we probably wont wind up seeing it, through court either

Maybe what Bella in the call did wasn't criminal or illegal, but what she did regarding the case was still pretty cunty. She still made the BDSM texts, where she tried to make it look like Chris really did rape Barb. Combine that with the fact that the evidence that Fiona shared publically, both the call and the texts, weren't even supposed to be shared when they were.

I take it that Bella was trying to be some master troll that put Chris in jail, and revealed the "monster" he truly was, all while doing it anonymously. Evidently that all failed hard.

I still think she didn’t plan on reporting the shit at all. I think she was into it and gladly would have let it continue for her own sick thrill. That's giving her far too much credit, TBH. Put simply, Bella's a dumbass who thinks she's smarter than she really is. For whatever reason, she considered Fiona, some random chick she just met for one month on some Discord server Chris directed her towards, as her "best friend", and had a VERY creepy lust for her, and decided to blame HER for everything afterwards. So it could be a number of things.

Bella may be a cunt, but she's no mastermind, like she wants people to see her as. She only WISHES she could be that horrible.
