What if any doctor would honestly claim to be able to reverse brain and spinal tissue necrosis ? Even if you could somehow get the brain to regenerate with hypothetical stem cells then he wouldn’t be the same kid afterwards since all the connections and memories would be different .

Even minor injuries can lead to personality changes, there was this man o man rugby forward (for those who have no idea but fat dude to shove other players out the way) he had a brain injury and post recovery claimed he was now gay and became a hairdresser

Lol Turkish doctors good luck a bunch of morally bankrupt people who will do operations that are illegal in anywhere civilised. If they actually offered no doubt it’s a ploy to con money out of them

The deadline for Archie's life support to be shut off is fast approaching, which option will Hollie Dance choose? Will she:

A. Realise that allowing her deceased son to be laid to rest with dignity would be in his best interests?
or,
B. Continue the merry-go-round and launch yet another frivolous legal challlenge?

It's the same as them wanting him taken to a hospice when they previously objected to him being taken for testing within the hospital on the grounds that he was too unstable.

The ECHR aren't going to look at Archie's case any time soon, if they agree to review it. I wonder how many times staff have breathed a sigh of relief that they'll no longer have to nurse Archie, only to find he's still there come their next shift.

The news wires are reporting that the application to Strasbourg has indeed been lodged. Things will move quickly on their end now. I would estimate she has bought herself a week to ten days, tops.

This is the last chance saloon, though. There is really nowhere left to go after this.

It's just past 10am there now. Potentially, these next two hours could be the last two hours Hollie has with Archie before they end life support. Earlier in the thread, it was pointed out that Hollie was spending a good amount of time with Archie at his bedside, unlike Mama Nails with Jahi, but these past few days she's been too busy on social media and doing interviews to spend time with him. If she distrusts the hospital staff so much, why does she leave him alone with them at all? Nothing she does makes sense. I can't wait until this is all over.

The parents of Archie Battersbee have submitted an application to the European court of human rights (ECHR) in an attempt to postpone the withdrawal of his life support.

Lawyers acting for Hollie Dance and Paul Battersbee had been given a deadline of 9am on Wednesday to submit the application.


On Tuesday evening, Dance said Barts Health NHS trust would begin to withdraw Archie’s life support at 11am on Wednesday unless the family submitted the application to the Strasbourg-based court by 9am.
The 12-year-old has been in a coma since suffering a catastrophic brain injury on 7 April. He has been kept alive by a combination of medical interventions, including ventilation and drug treatments, at the Royal London hospital in Whitechapel, east London.

Dance said: “We now hope and pray that the ECHR will look favourably on the application. We will not give up on Archie until the end.”

The hospital said they would withdraw treatment at 11am unless an application to the ECHR was submitted by 9am. That application was submitted in time. Whether the ECHR will accept the case is another issue. Last week the parents didn't seem to think they would.

He was 12. Just 12. 4 years before he could’ve legally had gay or straight sex. I’m all for free speech but speculating on the future sexual orientation of a preteen who will never achieve sexual maturity seems a bit… pointless.
If he was bullied for being perceived as gay, an inquest should find evidence.
The good thing about Hollie’s legal attention whoring/accusation of hospital abuse is it gives extra weight to arguments for a full Public Enquiry, not just a standard Coroner’s Inquest
