random.txt material here.

Nobody cares, you monkeyfuckers are all ugly pathetic losers who spend their free time obsessively watching monkey torture porn on the internet and screeching about people on a forum.
:tomgirl:
I hope one of you ends up going to New Zealand to stop lolcow gossiping and gets beat up by the locals.

There was some discussion ITT about self-justification of monkey hatred using religious "reasoning" (right before @cinemamondo 's arsehole buddies turned up to try and shit things up).

I remembered something and decided to have a look at this topic.

The quote I remembered was from William Congreve, a British playwright(who I think also had some connection to the Anglican church) from the Restoration era (late 1600s)

"I confess freely unto you, I could never look long upon a monkey, without very mortifying reflections"

Example here

The context behind this was his exposure to monkeys/apes on a ship he was travelling on in the Mediterranean, and his development of feelings of distaste. He was writing to some religious authority about this, probably for advice.

This is the only example I could find in the Christian tradition, and even this person seems aware that his thinking is abnormal.

Even when the evolution debate was raging at white heat there were no denunciations of monkeys per se, although I found quite a few cartoons where Darwin was drawn as an ape.

Hinduism regards monkeys as sacrosanct.

I did, however, find Sandidas Chakma, who spends most of his time shilling Cisco courses, attempting to make the argument that the precepts of the Ramayana no longer hold "because circumstances under which men and monkeys live have changed greatly"

Archive of Chakma article

It is most likely that Chakma is a complete opportunist and may not even believe his own bullshit, as in every "monkey panic" article of his he links to the company site www.ape-edge.com (now out of business), which made steel spikes for walls and rooftops (claimed not to harm monkeys in any way, BTW). He has also stopped writing on this topic after the company ceased operating.

Ape-edge old site - archive

There are also the followers and fans of the LTTE ("Tamil Tigers"), who sometimes comment on articles which mention suicide bombings, demanding that the LTTE be properly credited for "inventing" the suicide vest, and sometimes go on to sperg out about "the Buddhist Sinhalese filling up Columbo with their brethren, the worthless monkeys"

These people are more racists than religious zealots, though, so they fall out of the ambit of this discussion (please correct me if the LTTE was more religious than I think).

In short, there is no real denunciation of or hatred for monkeys in any religious tradition, except for these fringe cases.

monkeys are sacred in mainstream hinduism yeah, especially the grey langur, known over there as the hanuman langur. but people will still feed macaques and other monkeys too either because they believe it is a good thing to do, religiously speaking, or just because they like animals. that person you linked who made an argument about monkeys and the ramayana, well it is pretty much just the opinion of some guy; hinduism is a pretty heterogeneous religion with a great variety of thought and no central authority though with the current wave of hindu nationalism, maybe this will change . so his opinion on monkeys means as much to mainstream hindu thought as your or my opinion.
monkey spikes i've heard of. they actually do not hurt the monkeys, they just make it so they won't climmb up certain walls. they don't really work that well. they're like bird spikes; same thing essentially.

as for the LTTE, well. the sri lankan civil war was such a fucking tragedy man. one of the most brutal conflicts of our lifetime; i know a bit more about it than a layperson, so i can say that while the LTTE and Sinhalese fighters didnt particularly hate animals moreso than anyone else (monkey is just a mildly rude term thrown about, really tame for online comments about a war), because SL is so wildly bio-diverse and because the conflict was so bad, many animals got hurt, too.
there is a famous elephant in sri lanka that had stepped on a landmine for example, and lost a leg. she lives in an animal sanctuary now in the south of the island and enjoys a good life, minus the disability. the LTTE are primarily an ethno-nationalist organisation; religion is important to them but not as much as race

This is the best /pity/ message yet. Can this be in the OP, @easy? :story:
can't seem to edit the OP wtf. i'll look into it
edit: found out why. it's a new sitewide thing

@easy maybe we could ask a mod to edit it into the OP for us?

After sifting through so many posts on /pity/ screeching about us I can't help but ask: If we're pedos and zoos, where's the evidence? All it takes is a few screencaps and with how confident all of you on /pity/ are about these accusations surely you must have hard evidence that we're just as degenerate as we think you all are.

Chop, chop /pity/. Time's a wastin'.

Ya know guilty minds are the most accusatory, if they're calling us pedos and zoos with no proof. Well, I think that speaks for itself.

Jonathan Salazar Estevez
of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain is a prominent figure in the comment sections of monkey torture videos. I've seen him several times myself. You're bound to run into him if you stay in the monkey hate community long enough.

Unfortunately I don't have much dox beyond that, I can't figure out Spanish phonebooks.

As I'm told there is no phone books anymore and no online substitute.

While I can barely speak Spanish a friend listened to some. Seems to like flight simulator. There's some airplane noises in the background so he probably lives in the North near the airport.

Jonathan Salazar Estevez of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, monkeyfucker and zoosadist probably lives close to the airport of Los rodeos.

peep the bottom of the OP 8). thanks for the find, @Coelacanth
Noice.

And here's another all-time classic from some /pity/cuck anon @mondofilming
Untitled.png
>why must society criminalise sadism?
>Why does the fact that seeing pain being inflicted gets my dick hard make you so mad?
>Damn, the name «Karen» fits you like a glove.

Extremely random_text worthy.
