About PIppa's interest in learning Chinese: This is a new interest for her, previously her only interest in learning Chinese was gamer words to yell at them when playing online games. This change is likely due to her having to extensively work with Wonders prior to the con to get the AR equipment and model rigged up, running and calibrated, both on her end and on the remote (con end). For a couple of weeks before the con she was complaining about time zones and late night business meetings.

She has the interview with Sakana and Michael from Wonders this Friday we'll likely be able to learn more then. If Sakana has worked out some long term partnership or exclusivity deal with Wonders this could be a serious boon for Phase and it's talents, especially if Wonders ends up licensing the characters (and voices) for the line of personal AI "idols" they have been dropping hints about and mention on their web site.

I'm literally watching Luxiem right now, and just for that I'm going to tell you about my oshi among my hako-oshi!

Luca is a twitch-speaking goofball who's grill voice is cuter than my normal voice, and that's what people that don't watch him or only watch casually know.

But he's also like, dedicated to entertaining and his chat. I'm pretty sure his average stream time is 4 or 5 hours, he does a zatsu after every stream. He loves Nijisanji, and is constantly speaking affectionately about his branch mates. His constant encouragement (you can just pog!) is so infectious that I actually believe in myself sometimes. Balancing the line between yab and seiso, he knows what he's doing but still gets flustered easily.

I always get fed when voice packs come out, he's already done two covers, and still wants to so much more. If having an oshi means to push and support someone, I want to do that for him like he does for me just by making me smile and laugh every day.

I've had the same problem with Need for Speed and Burnout Paradise Remastered. Seems to be an issue with overlay capture, like OBS... which I don't even have installed, but still haven't been able to fix it.

AL is basically ran by the Japanese branch of the company at this point, the CN version of the game has been destroyed by various censorship waves(most of the boats with the biggest tits have been outright been made unable to be rolled for and a JP voice actress was completely deleted from the game because she visited a shrine the Chinese don't like).

I only watch HoloJP members, which doesn't really help with the whole 'background noise' thing because I'm not fluent enough to translate passively. Same goes for Niji and VSPO.

I don't really get the controversy of Pippa learning Chinese, unless she starts making statements about how the glory of Pooh Bear needs to be defended. China is a huge economy and most of the people are reasonably chill, it's just they're ruled by a dictatorship that can go from rather open like under Hu Jintao to complete lunacy like under current leadership which caused a lot of foreigners who lived there and liked it to leave. Though as a whole freedom hasn't been in the vogue for some time now and governments all around the world continue to try to fuck their people more and more, because fuck government and to quote Pippa "No! No, government!"
