General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Gura's streaming schedule has absolutely fallen off a cliff over the last month-ish, but she's been sick, is working on some stuff behind the scenes, and had gone through both the high of the big off-collab and the low of Sana's graduation announcement in rapid succession, which has got to be draining. I do miss her, bros, and >0 days since a Gura stream is too many, but I hope she's recuperating, recharging, and happy.

One other point to mention that probably trends Pippa towards being 24 and not 30, is that the music she listens to is more modern. Her playlist from the One Cider Stream recently was much too modern, whereas if she was older there'd be more stuff like System of a Down, Type O Negative, Tool, Muse, Sum 41, and so on as those were big back in the day and were used in MMO videos.

I forgot she was sick.

the work ethic is admirable, but stupid at the same time. Sustainability matters, it's admirable to be on that grind but if you're ruining your health over it you're still fucking up. a streamer not taking care of their voice is like an F1 racer not maintaining their car, except F1 racers can actually replace their car if they destroy it.

I enjoy the chuuba's I watch and want their content to keep going for a long time. part of that is not destroying their vocal chords for short term gains. Their call if that's the road they want to go down though but it's not something I'm going to hold up as an example of what other streamers should be doing or a good point of comparison to say another streamer is being "lazy".
You probably don't watch pekora but after her break her stream hours is less than how it used to she have break every now and then.

Is it hard to expect a streamer to stream atleast 15 times a month?

If they were just streamers sure, but holomems are usually working on other projects, going to dance/singing/voice lessons, working jobs outside of hololive, etc.

15 times a month is a lot when you're basically working three different jobs (which a lot of holos are).

"monopoly" is probably one of the most dumb thing i have heard about holo, like how you "monopoly" a market when you release/debut the less?? if anyone ask "when next holoEN?" well next year, yeah you need to wait WHOLE YEAR for new one, which is why you got a lot of time to watch other while being holo fan, their new gen will be next year, holo is more building a solid loyal fanbase thats why the whole "1 month collab ban" exist,if cover want to monopolize the market, they will release more vtuber in short time then collab them everywhere so that their "brand" stay on top and hit by algorithm everyday, but no,the truth is the opposite.

imagine if after MYTH boom, holo debut next holoEN gen 2 in 1-2 month, people keep talking and only watch holo, then they bring more, cross collab, then they have a chance to "monopolize" the market, but what happened is the next holoEN is in 1 year,so when myth not streaming what are people gonna do? well checking nijiEN or even vshojo, indie etc.
"normalfag" go to would probably more likely be vshojo
nah, normalfag is in holo, what i mean normie is people that want to watch "CGDCT",just like k-on but this time they play block game instead, like pekora, miko then they just back to their life, vshojo is the "twitch coomer",thats why their coombait works, try that in youtube people won't care that much.remember the whole bath tub stream full of basement dweller virgin exist on twitch.

Lia is livestreaming that new horror morgue game right now. Honestly a interesting horror game, never heard of one mainly focusing on morgue stuff before.

EDIT: Oh my god it's another wild Lia drunk stream...
@Moth Enjoyer I fr put it to live to see what you were talking about and....yeah it's yab night.

EDIT 2:
What rabbit hole did I fall into before bed...

I do and I know, I'm just saying she's still not some golden metric to judge others as lazy for when until very recently she was putting herself out of it and needing hospital visits because she was overworking herself, the same way she's not lazy for streaming fewer hours than Kaela. the whole dick measuring contest is retarded.

Is it hard to expect a streamer to stream atleast 15 times a month?
It's not hard to expect literally anything, expectations are effortless. But for starters it's a stupid metric (noticing a trend here) because total # of streams means fuck all, if someone streams 15 times in a month but they are all 8 hour streams are they "more lazy" than someone that streams 20 times but they're all 1 hour?

Just focusing on # of streams is itself flawed, and also neglects to factor in work that gets done that isn't just streaming. if they're spending time doing recordings or stuff off stream are they still lazy? if they're sick and need to take time off are they lazy? I get someone wishing their favorite streamed more often but the whole angle of writing it off as lazy is just stupid. and it's even more stupid to use half assed metrics to try to validate that judgement.

Someone where I work wears Vshoujo merch under his uniform. Even had this dude that works another department see Melody's tits on his jacket and say 'nice tits' and this guy is like 50+.
It is absolutely normiecore, some of you people vastly underestimate just how much people enjoy casual coomer silliness just because you don't like it.
are they actually normie tho? like a normal people that don't spend that much time watching vtuber let alone the one that coomerbait?

One of the smartest statements said in the thread this week.
Honestly while my agreeance with the sentiment is mostly based on my own jaded cynicism bullshit, i am appalled that low tier /vt/ baitposting is being validated and discussed as if it holds any merit.
I wouldn't call suisei's stream output "consistent" by any means but i don't think anyone would call her of all people lazy.

I hate to bring up the whole /vt/ boogeyman thing, but it's kind of warranted right now. It's actually kinda funny because I'm fairly certain I use /vt/ more often than I use this thread lol. From what I've seen, the whole concept of the 'Holo Myth streams less than they used to' thing is almost always used in a trolling manner trying to get people to bite. It's not that the statement is untrue, because it is objectively true in terms of the raw number of streams, but it leaves out all the context as to why things seem that way. It also hopes you don't use your head and try to figure out why the phenomenon is occuring. Rather, it hopes you just accept at face value that Holo Myth of all people are lazy. Yeah Gura's number of streams are less, but it's because she has a myriad of actually good excuses not to recently. Those have already been stated by another poster a little earlier in this discussion, and the same goes for all of the girls. It's simply just a very bad faith interpretation of things, not to mention the length of streams is never mentioned (except for burnt fish right as I was typing that sentence lol).

So yeah I don't think there's much to worry about in regards to them being burnt out or what have you. The Myth girls have never been shy about saying when they feel like they need a break or talking openly about when they feel their drive is slipping.

I hate to break it to you, but Tempest is Holostars. They're on a different timetable then Hololive proper. The time between HoloX and UPROAR's debut's was less than 5 months. An EN3 November - December debut is not unreasonable. That would also make Council and the assumed EN3 separation longer than that of Myth and Council. Long enough to create that fanbase your semi-illiterate ramblings was talking about.
